He is batting very well but the bowling from SA today has been as bad as i can remember from them, they served up some trash when gilly torched them back in 2002 but this is up there with the worst i have seen.

In OZ they got similar thrashing,even with Steyn fit...they won series though.

There doesn't seem to be a plan. Morkel had Stokes in trouble with a couple of lifting balls into the body but otherwise it's both sides of the wicket and too short. They're making it too easy for the England men to hit fours.

That's the same level of bias in logic.

People to talk about 'batsman's game' and improving it. Well stop this! Everyone dreams of being national captain and people just won't want to play a role if that role is never going to be given that honour and the money/respect/privilege that comes with it.

What the hell does being a bowler have to do with having intelligence or acumen to captain?

Yeah i guess i have blocked out the SA bowling in those first two games because of our inability to close things out and then us getting spanked at the WACA.

The 'they will pick Rabada or Bavuma' comment was clearly a reference to their ethnicity. I'm not the one who started that line of thought.
 
Overall Ben Stokes is 20th batsman to score 100 runs before lunch in Tests. 21 times batsmen have done it with Brian Lara doing it twice.
 
Rabada keeps bowling no-balls - hopefully Aleem Dar checks his balls in the event of a wicket.

Also, there just aren't any in India.

Meanwhile all sorts of religious minorities actually HAVE played for and even been the long term captains for India.

Meanwhile how many minority captains have South Africa had till Amla (and how much whining has there been about him).

Guess we can't forget bairstow here, i mentioned the gilly double ton in SA back in 2002 and bairstow really is playing the martyn role from that game perfectly.

Moeen bhai is nowhere near Stokes, especially when it comes to batting and ability to impact and devastate the opposition.

Most likely will fall to one if the English seamers cheaply and average will drop below 50. :( Bilal7 willbbr depressed for weeks. Let's hope atleast Moeen Bhai is successful with the ball :)
