After the tumultuous period from 2011-2019 of Dave Cameron which was marred by various disputes with the players including the decision of entire WI squad to walk out of a then ongoing tour in India, Ricky Skerritt became the President of WI cricket. He calls himself a player friendly administrator. Under him there have been captaincy changes with Kieron Pollard taking over as LOI captain and Kraigg Brathwaite taking the reins from Jason Holder. Although the performance of their team has still been hit or miss, he is liked quite a lot by the WI players as well as officials of other cricket boards. He was also instrumental in changing the itinerary of international schedule in a bid to compensate IPL in 2021.
He has also recently spoken of making ICC more inclusive and decided for WI to tour Pakistan for a series by their both respective women and men's team. Notably, it's going to be the first international series in Pakistan after NZ flying out of Pak at the last moment and England cancelling their proposed tour afterwards.
