Both Cricketers are ODI and T-20 legends for their respective countries who failed to translate their limited overs form into the test arena.

Rohit as captain has 4-5 IPL Titles for Mumbai Indians and a World Cup T-20 Title for India as captain.

Yuvraj has never captained India or an IPL side to victory but he played a vital role for India in the 2007 T-20 WC win and the 2011 ODI WC win where he was the man of the tournament. One can argue that he could have achieved greater things for India in the limited overs format had he not been curtailed by cancer, his performances dropped significantly after he came back from Cancer Rehab.

Both players during their careers were criticized for not complementing their talents with the work ethic required.

Let's see the Indian posters chime in on this

Both good players but Yuvraj before the cancer treatment was a beast player.

Rohit Sharma still had a decent Test Career and also the privilege of Captaining the Test Side unlike Yuvraj who was always an outcast in Test Cricket.

While both have done well in Shorter formats of the game , Rohit probably has a greater legacy for leading the Side to T20 World Cup.

Yuvraj and Rohit are both legends in ODI cricket and hold their own in their respective batting positions. Rohit has an incredible ODI record and has dominated world cups. Yuvraj’s statistics are incredible for a middle order batsman but could have been better but he’s bailed us out from some real pressure situations like only he could.

Rohit Sharma.

1. Kohli
2. Tendulkar
3. Rohit
4. Dhoni
5. Yuvraj

Both overhyped but Yuvraj still better than Rohit both as batsmen and bowler. Rohit is literally the worst thing to ever happened for Indian limited overs cricket since 2010s.

Yuvi > Rohit.

I have alot of respect for rohit however at the end of the day he's a home track bully who can't play swing for the life of him.

I still remember his innings against Dale steyn. In the previous game he tonked a double century in odi, And next game he was a bunny against a burnt out end of his lifespan steyn lol.

Yuvi before cancer literally contributed to helping India maintain dominance in a t20 format when everyone hadn't adjusted to it in that era.

Afterward he's the unsung hero who won 2011 wc for india. Not Sachin.

Rohit in the other hand is a great player but he really does capitalise on flat tracks lol.

Rohit > Yuvi.

Yuvi was very inconsistent and I have followed his career since his debut in Nairobi.

What I am astonished is how come we have different views in every topic? 😂

Yuvraj had amazing Peak and was a biggest headache for the opposition bowlers in several series across his career.

Rohit on the other hand was a harmless stat-padder even at his peak, who prioritizes making centuries over Team's cause. He inspired generation of mental midgets like Rahul and Rahane to further ruin our white ball cricket by extending their career by playing meek and selfish brand of cricket disguised as Smart and calculated to make fool of gullible Indian fans. I knew these fraud openers would cost us several ICC Trophies and they single handedly did (2014, 2016, 2021, 2022) even when we had our best ever bowling attack in that period. They failed in 2017 CT final and 2019 SF as well by making binary digit scores.

Personally, I believe Ishan Kishan breakout IPL season in 2020 was very important for future of Indian cricket and was a flicker of hope. Finally we had attacking youngster Top order batsmen who can take on International bowlers in Power Plays. It was a flicker of hope cause before that we were still pinning our hopes on ever-inconsistent Samson to be next big thing for Indian Cricket even though he was delivering underwhelming performances in IPL for years.

Rohit sharma ain't no legend. You need to perform in tests to be a legend or win a odi wc.

He dint

Yuvi did and yuvi is a loi legend but not an ATG. He was never good enough for tests. Sorry yuvi bhai

Rohit is so overrated. In all formats. He is a nothing player in tests anyway.

He is a borderline great ish player in odi. He is a great in t20

But nothing in tests

You need to be a test legend to be called a ATG
Sadly he isn't. Sorry roro fans.

Odi he failed in all crucial matches. He is a serial loser in odi.

Rohit is well ahead and this is coming from a die hard Yuvi fan.

Rohit is an ATG in ODI cricket, his performances in 2019 and 2023 world cup make him one of the top 3 openers ever.

Winning/ not winning the world cup doesn't make a difference to individual capability of a player, quite similar to why I don't consider Yuvraj >ABD too.

In ODIs, these are our top 5 batsmen:

Kohli
Sachin
Rohit
Dhoni
Yuvraj

The top 4 are ATG's and three of them will play in an ALL TIME ODI eleven, not so sure about Yuvi.

Yeah Yuvi was very good in ODI, but Rohit peaks are much higher. Rohit also had a very decent test career whereas Yuvi was pretty bit failure there. For all his performances Yuvi had issues against short pitch bowling where as Rohit is beast against it.

Rohit needs a odi world cup to match Yuvraj's legend. He maybe a better player but yuvi would remain a larger legend

IF you see stats, rohit is way ahead of Yuvraj particularly because Rohit was a top-order batter while Yuvraj was not.

TBH, i would pick rohit over yuvraj.

Sometimes its good to have a friend like that tbh. I know anfew people like you( aka who disagree with me in everything) in my life.

Not a bad thing lol.

Rohit if I make my team completely conscious. But if were dreaming an India XI, I would still subconsciously include the likes of Yuvraj and Sehwag for emotional reasons. That was my team. :don
