Rumman Raees - good all-round cricketer from Karachi

This guy is too mature. He knows what he is doing, knows where to bowl, sets his own field. Bowls at the right area, doesnt do something which he cant do. He uses the skills he has till the fullest.

Im in love with this bowler

should get selected in the next Pakistan T20I series.

He looked brilliant today. Bowled like he was a veteran against tamim n afridi. Looks a good prospect.

He won't break into the side...otherwise what would happen to the classy youngsta beauties of this world...

Impressive control over his yorkers and slow ball bouncers, well disguised as well.

Better version of imran khan jnr

Leg side bowling, not a good idea. He will be murdered at international level, but his yorkers are good. Overall i don't see his chances, he can't make into national squad.

Amir , Wahab , Junaid and

Rumann / Sohail Khan / Hasan Ali

My vote uptil now with Rumman Raees. Karachi did not play Sohail Khan today aswell. Let's see Zalmi try Hasan Ali or not.

deeply unimpressive trundler, although that was a batting paradise and only one innings. he strikes me as the same kind of bowler as tanvir ahmed in that its inexplicable as to why they dont get smashed all over the park. although as with tanvir, it finally does happen...

Some bizzare selections in the Pak squad that just don't make sense.

It has to be down to corrupt/nepotistic selectors.

It is now clear that any up and coming Pakistani pace bowling all-rounder cannot be taken seriously. Their personify mediocrity.

Yamin is the last glimmer of hope, but selectors are unwilling to give him 2-3 series in any format.

He is much better than Sohail Tanvir.

He is a good athlete and a good fielder. Only one throw off target today and does not drop catches like Sohail Tanveer and Rahat Ali.

He bowls good slower bouncer , good slower one , good 135 kph bouncer , good wide yorkers & good yorkers in line of stumps.

He was selected on basis of last domestic T20 performances , performances against England lions and performances in first 3 PSL matches.

Today he concede 3 runs in his first over in power play. 7 runs in second. 20 in 3rd and 9 in last over. 9 in last considering one six and only 3 runs of other 5 balls.

After getting selected today for Pakistan team he was a bit lazy and was not concentrating properly which was unprofessional that is why he wasn't able to plan well and execute his varieties well.

I will pick him ahead of Sohail Tanvir & Mohammad Irfan (current state) every single time.

Yes much improved Junaid Khan should have been selected but ahead of Irfan.

Rumman has earned it and he will be back to his usual business next game after Dean Jones & Wasim akram will have a talk with him which will make sure he will return back to earth before next game.

I wanted Hasan Ali or Sohail Khan to be given a chance in PSL before team gets announced and I wanted any of them to get selected ahead of Rumman based on performance but since they weren't played and Rumann played and performed so his selection is merited indeed.

As I say personally would have like Hasan or Sohail Khan instead.

I back Rumman to come good.

He is not agile at all, not a good athlete in my opinion.

Also, has a weak arm.

Like him or not but Raees has deserved his selection so the accusation of corruption are just silly. Like TalentSpotterPk pointed out, Raees has done well in domestic/ A tours and is probably one of the more deserving selections.

Todays game can be discarded by saying that it was an off day. But if gets tonked in one or two more psl games than its reasonable to assume that he wont fare well against anderson/ elliot/ dhawan etc.

Lets see

Personally, i don't like him

Rumman is not better than Hasan Ali & Sohail Khan but since none of them were selected and Sohail Tanveer was rubbish once again so selectors chose the best performer of last domestic T20 , Pakistan A & 1st 3 matches of PSL.

Junaid Khan should have been selected instead of Irfan. Now this is not the down and out Junaid Khan we were discussing few weeks and months ago. Much improved in many ways.

Rumman Raees Khan.

20 years old medium-fast bowler. Averages well under 30 with the ball inn all 3 formats.

Is quite handy with the bat as well as he averages 15 in first class, the potential is there.

The best thing is that he was the best fielder in the recent Faysal Bank division 2 tournament and the joint best bowler as well.

Looking forward to follow his progress.

5 years on I am happy where he is now.
