Runs off edges - (Lucky runs)

Pardon my ignorance if this exists already, but does anyone keep track of runs off on edges? I'm assuming the teams own statisticians are keeping track, but I strongly feel this is a stat that needs to become common in today's cricket.

Control% is something that has started to be tracked in recent years.

If you play a shot deliberately, block it properly or leave the ball it counts as being in control; edges, mistimed shots and playing and missing counts as not in control.

maybe sensors on bats may help - will tell you how many middled and how many edges

I'm just interested in seeing how control % impacts bowlers strike rates and averages - especially in the PSL
