The centuries old rivalry between the two most popular savouries. Lot's has been written on the two by experts as to what one tastes better. Pakora's are nice but there is nothing like a slightly greasy and next day leftover samosa's! What one do you prefer, can't say both?. Samosa is the Tendulkar where as Pakora is the Lara, it's that close:danish

ground beef samosay are lit

Never had a pakora, dont know what is it but have had a samosa, delicious.

More interesting thread would be samosa vs spring roll. God damn too hard to choose.

aloo wala pakora is on another level entirely.

Aloo ka Pakora over Samosa always.

Aloo Pakora wipes the floor with samosa.

If you want a strong competition then have aloo pakora vs bbq chicken samosa, and still the pakora wins.

Samosas are too one-dimensional and there is too much of stuffing. Pakoras any day.

Samosa is the most over-rated desi dish.

Don't know why westerners like it.

Its not bad but why this there such hoopla over it?

Because it is a simple, cheap and not so complicated snack. Goes well with everything too. You can have it with ketchup, cholle, chutney, tea etc. It will never taste bad and you pretty much know what to expect.

Pakoras are so dry and taste like sand if not assisted by ketchup, chutneys, etc. A samosa can be enjoyed on its own no matter the filling inside it.

Samosa are also triangular and no other food is triangular. Samosas win easily.

Tea? I threw up in my mouth. Is this why you guys don't produce fast bowlers? :afridi

Tea is not the dip, it is just a beverage that goes quite well with a samosa. Just like coke goes well with burgers.

I think its great also considering the type of samosas, even the onion triangle ones made in TN are amazing. But the snack shops in delhi,UP imo beat every kind of samosa in India.

Samosa

Though the very simple aloo pakora is up there

I don't like all these funky pakoras with onions and whatnot

Beef samosa all day every day. aloo paratha
What do you think? :steyn

I see your tea with samosa and I raise you pakora with roh afza.

Checkmate.

Definitely samosa.

If anyone hasn't tried it yet, get a keema samosa from Ambala and it only costs around 60p or so - it is really nice.

Samosa's are more satisfying and can also be consumed as a main meal with yoghurt, rice or salad. To many pakora's make the stomach feel weird and heavy. Glad to see samosa's are leading the poll's.:warner

Pakoras over samosas everyday of the week, twice on Sundays. Chicken, onion and the evergreen aloo pakoras. So much win.

And who said spring rolls over samosas? Its clearly Pakoras>Samosas>>>>>Spring rolls

The polls speak for themselves. #HatersGonnaHate #MakeSamosasGreatAgain :trump

Pakora have to be cooked properly and made just right, otherwise they give you bad stomach aches.

So Samosa every time, especially vegetable ones. But only my mums, and the frozen company ones are just poor.

why there is no option to have both? :inzi

I've never liked pakoras, they're so bland and only taste good with some sauce or chutney while Samosas can't stand on their own.

Samosas FTW!

I hate Samosa. Never liked them. The popper is good, but its filling which is what i always hated.

Pakoras are life. They could be crunchy with a zesty taste to it.

the thing about pakoras are that even the bad ones could be enjoyed with mouth. Always eat pakoras with no consequences :inzi

Pakoras are very difficult to perfect. The batter has to be absolutely perfect to ensure the proper crunch. I've only ever had that proper crunch at a few places and without the crunchiness the pakora is pretty bland and useless and need some good dip on the side.

Samosas on the other hand have a tastier filling and are easier to make. So overall I'd pick an aloo samosa. Keema samosas are pretty good too.

I like Samosa more, you have to make pakora perfectly, another thing you literally can eat samosa with chola, chatni( meethi or hari), tea, even cold drink also.

I like Tikki more, its a tie between Samosa and Pakora.

Pakora has more variety though.

Has to be samosa.

Preferrably meat ones.
