Sania was in the right she just said no1 player in the world she didn't even say tennis. If she had had said no1 player in tennis I could understand Manjrekar saying something like that but she just said no1 player its obvious it means in the sports she plays in ie doubles tennis.

Taking nothing away from Sania, it is a great achievement indeed, however i feel Sanjay was coming form a layman perspective. It was a blanket statement.

I must confess, at that time, I found Sania right and Sanjay wrong (partly because he is an irritating guy), however, after all these days, I think Sanjay was not wrong and Sania was rude.

Take note that unlike BCCI , the Tennis Regulatory body in India is a absolutely incompetent , underfunded, unbelievably corrupt body loaded with egotistical bureaucrats. The tennis players in India a rarely given proper nurturing as youngters or any kind of International quality infrastructure.. If somehow , a select few overcome all of it and become competent players in less taxing formats(Doubles and Mixed doubles), they get bossed around like amateurs. !

I saw the entire KWK- season 5 interview. Always knew she was a pretty sassy charachter, but not to this level .. Good for her !.

We have a culture in our country as if all sports-persons exist only to please the whims and quirks of the desi junta. But funny thing is, what has Indian audiences/Government contributed to the development of tennis/tennis players here, for them to reach that level ? The real entitled ones in Cricket and Bollywood , the ones we should all be really going after , are left scot free !

There is no right or wrong here, just speculation. Sania is certainly a better doubles player, but it isn't always on-court events that lead to a split. I have watched countless Sania-Hingis interviews where Sania always made it about herself, which is something no partner would appreciate.

Martina's dream run with Leander has seen a dip too, but they are still together. Reason is because both of them are very humble and make the partnership about each other, and it helps them pull through the tough times. It didn't work with Sania, guess why?

What do you mean initiated the split?

Did Hingis break the contract?
Or Sania requested her to renew and Hingis declined?

If none of above, then it's standard process, both sania and Hingis had different partners previously and thenthey played together for sometime and when their contracted time ended as per well advanced plan and in light of incoming schedule, they both are playing with different partners now.
