Weird. Using this logic, we cannot criticise any player for not performing because they didn't select themselves, it is the fault of the selectors. In fact, it is not even the selector's fault, it is the fault of PCB. Yes it is true that the players and the captain don't pick themselves, but they are picked to perform and when they fail to do that, they will be criticised.
Do you not find the timing dubious? Sarfraz is holding on to his captaincy by a thread, he has been heavily criticised by the whole nation for opting to bowl first, and he has become a meme throughout the cricket world for yawning with his belly sticking out while India was taking our bowlers to the cleaners.
Amidst all the Sarfraz bashing, we have suddenly had a "leak" where poor Sarfraz is being victimised by unfaithful players who are underperforming to undermine his captaincy? Do you not think that this is a blatant attempt by his camp to deflect the attention away from him and save his captaincy?
So far, there is no proof that there has been grouping against him. The timing is too convenient and a clear attempt to save Sarfraz's rotting career, but I do hope that it is true because that is what he deserves. Speaking of absurd, the only thing that is absurd has been your irrational support for Sarfraz.
You have been one of the 3-4 people on this forum who have defended him for long, and now you lot have no leg to stand on. Not only are his performances still abject, he has also completely lost the plot as captain. At least when he was busy bashing minnows, his loyalists could hide behind the myth that he is a great captain and it doesn't matter if he is not performing as long as he is leading the team to wins.
