Sarfaraz Ahmed cutting a lonely figure on the field - has he lost support from his side?

The meat one owner came back in pakistan cricket to earn free money with free tourism all around the world & to take his nephew to the point where his 7 generations could eat without doing anything. Mullah nowadays enjoying a pcb paid UK trip & busy there in reuniting with his old friends & if any journalist ask anything regarding cricket then he repilied 'mujhsei jo marzi pooch len cricket cricket k ooper baat nhi kaunga'. O bhai if journalist wont ask you cricket regarding questions then will they ask beef & mutton rates from you?

What a childish post. You'll learn how teams work once you step into the real world.

Grouping against the captain is NEVER justified. No matter how non-performing the captain is, he is still the designated leader.

Anyone who is found to have deliberately underperformed or did not cooperate with Sarf needs to be kicked out.

In the real world, a so-called captain or leader like him will not survive for two years. In any organization or team where there is genuine accountability, freeloaders have nowhere to hide.

There is no reason to accuse the players for deliberately underperforming because there is no evidence to back that claim. However, there is no reason why any member of this team should take crap for a pathetic leader like Sarfraz.

Every member of this team, including the ones who have been very poor recently, have done more for Pakistan cricket than him in the last two years.

Sarfraz has shied away from responsibility to such an extent that he has even promoted tail-enders like Hasan and Amir ahead of him. His fans call this selflessness, but this is actually cowardice.

Against Australia, Pakistan needed 42 in 30 balls, and he allowed a number 11 to take a single on the last ball and play out the next over. In the real world, that alone would be enough to remove him from captaincy.

Thankfully, karma did its magic and Maxwell ran him out in embarrassing fashion.

Then the case is against the PCB, not Sarfraz. The players can take their grievances to those who appointed him.

We do not know if there is evidence to back that claim or not. Sarfraz is much closer to the game and to these players, so I'll take his word for it.

I'll fine and dandy. The chief selector and the coach can kick Sarfraz out for all the above reasons. The team members still do not have an iota of justification to form grouping against their designated captain.

Again, your perception of how things work in the real world is absurd.

Weird. Using this logic, we cannot criticise any player for not performing because they didn't select themselves, it is the fault of the selectors. In fact, it is not even the selector's fault, it is the fault of PCB. Yes it is true that the players and the captain don't pick themselves, but they are picked to perform and when they fail to do that, they will be criticised.

Do you not find the timing dubious? Sarfraz is holding on to his captaincy by a thread, he has been heavily criticised by the whole nation for opting to bowl first, and he has become a meme throughout the cricket world for yawning with his belly sticking out while India was taking our bowlers to the cleaners.

Amidst all the Sarfraz bashing, we have suddenly had a "leak" where poor Sarfraz is being victimised by unfaithful players who are underperforming to undermine his captaincy? Do you not think that this is a blatant attempt by his camp to deflect the attention away from him and save his captaincy?

So far, there is no proof that there has been grouping against him. The timing is too convenient and a clear attempt to save Sarfraz's rotting career, but I do hope that it is true because that is what he deserves. Speaking of absurd, the only thing that is absurd has been your irrational support for Sarfraz.

You have been one of the 3-4 people on this forum who have defended him for long, and now you lot have no leg to stand on. Not only are his performances still abject, he has also completely lost the plot as captain. At least when he was busy bashing minnows, his loyalists could hide behind the myth that he is a great captain and it doesn't matter if he is not performing as long as he is leading the team to wins.

Okay, I can't keep on going in circles with you because either you don't understand the whole premise of this argument or you just do not want to. For the last time, Sarfraz or any other player is not above criticism. Never did I say that he cannot be criticized, so I am not sure what made you write that first paragraph.

Timing of all this could be dubious and yes I am also willing to believe that crazy conspiracy theory of yours. However, all that is irrelevant as again, that wasn't the argument.

I replied to the point you made when you said Sarfraz deserves players grouping up against him. For that, I would refer you back to my last post. Under no circumstances, the players have the credibility to gang up against their captain. This DOES NOT mean that the captain is above criticism.

Lastly, this has absolutely no correlation to my support (or lack of) for Sarfraz. This is applicable to anyone who captains the team.

Please don't try and label anyone with something when they disagree with you.

As you have know that you are in my ignore list for a long time now and i see you have mentioned me in 8-9 posts of yours so i just want to say that i dont know what propaganda you are spreading about me and frankly dont care too. But i still support Pakistani team and Sarfaraz and win and lose are part of game and doesnt mean that i will start badmouthing players. And there is nothing personal in favor or against any player, after world cup the performance of team and Sarfaraz will be assessed and if he is booted out it will be right decision according to his performance as captain but he did deserve to be the captain in this world cup so no 2 thoughts here.

Now kindly dont quote or mention me in any of your future posts and save your time as i cant see what you wrote and frankly as i wrote in one another thread i am rarely coming to pp these days due to time issues.

Thanks.

I told you he was a rubbish captain. But you told me I didn’t like him or had a agenda against him. I was and right you were wrong. If you debated with me correctly when I was calling out your hero instead of making baseless allegations and I would not have mentioned you in any posts.

I won’t be quoting you or mentioning you now that your hero has been exposed dw.

I'm glad the players have conspired against Sarfaraz if this is true, kudos to them. Railu katta deserves everything coming his way. Thought he could get away with bullying others.

Jaisi karni waisi bharni.

Sarfraz is definitely not the best we can put out but to be glad players are conspiring during a WC is some deeply saddening stuff. Such sadistic behavior. The sport we love survives on fan following and to deliberately underperform at such stage is literally a mockery of fans like you and me.

If the story is true then we should rid ourselves of all these parasites but seems like you’d rather encourage such behavior and are happy we get made fun of as a cricketing nation just because you want Captain out. If these players had any heart they’d go out and win matches and prove to the world the they’re the ones and not the captain that should get the credit. But I guess lage raho..if players can do this against Sarfraz they will also do it against the next guy once he wins a few games or series.

Sleeping pills were mixed in his tea by a senior player, as per media reports.

The groupings in dressing room is real

Regardless of how Sarfaraz has performed or captained the team, it is ridiculous to say that players are justified in conspiring or grouping against him (if the reports are actually true). Sarfaraz should be held accountable for his performance but the players have no right to undermine his authority or behave in any way that hurts the team as then it becomes free for all where anyone harboring a grievance (justified or otherwise) will take this route at the expense of the team.

Look at Ross Taylor advising Kane Williamson all of the time.

He's in his ear all the time, constantly speaking to him about bowling changes and field-placings.

Isn't hafeez was doing the same. I saw him giving extra advises to shaheen after every ball
