I think Sarfraz must not continue in the ODI format at all, let alone captaincy. We should plan for the next ODI WC. He will be 36/37 by 2023. And looking at his fitness, I think he may need a runner (both in batting and wicket keeping) for the whole WC. Hence, this is the ideal time to replace him with Rizwan, who is way better than him potentially, plus he is young as well. PCB/Misbah must not waste Rizwan. In short, make Babar the captain, Rizwan the wicket keeper batsman, already!

He has a lifetime warranty ever since he hit that halwa 100 vs Ireland years ago.

Sarfaraz has gotten a bit slimmer since the WC.

I was at a practice session ahead of the first QEA game.He came in for some extra practice even though his team had done some earlier. He ran 5 laps of the ground in front of me and had done some earlier as well. Looks like he's taking fitness more seriously now.

No space for him in odis..
He is only useful opening, he cant now with Fakhar and Imam there and Abid Ali as a backup.
Other position where he is Ok is no 4 but he hardly bats there; he comes in late, if he ever comes in, and that position is not suited to his game style.

He is Misbah's "apna aadmi" , not going anywhere, who cares about the team ranking and merit , not Misbah.

Could be last chance saloon.

Although a weak Sri Lankan team could be ideal opponents for Sarfaraz and a few others.

Very convenient for him to take it seriously now that his place in the team and career is under the scanner. I hope the PCB is not fooled.

He’s not going to last another 4 years. At best he will captain another two years by the time Babar is ready for full time captaincy. Pakistan will most likely play the 2023 WC under Babar’s captaincy.

Misbah today

"Let's give Sarfaraz a chance, hopefully all the work he has done on his batting and fitness pays off. I don't think he gave enough chances to prove himself as a batsman which is his biggest mistake. If you bat in 3 matches out of 10 then you're only giving yourself a 30% chance to perform. If he gives himself a 100% chance, he is the type of player who will perform. I will try to make him not underestimate himself as a batsman"
