Absurd dismissal!
A T20 shot when you're behind the RR. Ultimately at a deficit

Pathetic way to get out after being well set at 50.
All he wanted was a personal milestone.

A bit of a loose Test performance by Sarfaraz so far if I’m honest
Props for batting well considering Rizwan was dropped due to poor batting form
But I still feel Sarfaraz just didn’t have the time or mental preparation to transit from Domestic cricket playing conditions into Test match cricket.
-Very lethargic with his keeping
-Fitness lacking, hobbling after every dive
-completely unaware/not picking up faint edges behind the stumps
Also, I would put this down to a clear lack of intensity by himself because he is very much restrained in his attitude and natural aggression. The guy just needs to be himself if you actually want him to keep properly
I agree, he has been subdued. He needs to be that snarling keeper that he was. But if he did that and was successful you’ll still have his critics complaining “oh he’s done well but I can’t stand his jahil vocals and the way he treats his players” etc etc.
Wow.
First match in almost five years, comeback and nerves, he delivers two pretty decent knocks.
And all you can find are negativities.
We’ve got no one better right now, specially in Test format.
I really don’t understand the hate for Sarfraz. Every mistake, every yawn, every bit of chirping winds people up. Why?
The guy has come back after 3 years where he showed no bitterness or arrogance at being the drinks boy. He’s come back and taught a lesson to the specialist batsmen how to bat, yes he’s made mistakes, so has every Pakistan player in this match.
Our brilliant skipper “best across all formats zzzz” can’t even play the googly.
Our English speaking saviour can barely hit double figures.
Our bowlers can’t take wickets
Yet it’s all Sarfraz’ fault.
The severe criticism can only be down to personal or some other type of hatred.
Imagine if he had stumped KW
Not a great keeping but will give him benefit of doubt as he is playing after 3 years . Let’s see in next game . But scoring two quality innings deserve credit . Massive pressure but he delivered .
Sarfaraz has played really well & deserves at least two more series. End of story.
Exactly
Pakistan knew what they were getting with his keeping. They needed a keeper who can bat and Sarfaraz clearly can bat.
What a fighter..always admired him for his street fighting style..and he showed it again this test..would be great if we could get more out of him in the few tests we get..
Like Rizzy too and would be interesting if we could have him as a batter with sarfi too..hopefully we can groom a third wicketkeeper now too..

This is bad news for Pakistan as Sarfaraz has booked his spot for the next 2 series

Yeah, he's never been a mental midget like the rest.
He can play as a pure batsman in Pakistan team and can play for 2-3 years. Remove him from his keeping duties and get a new young keeper.
Did you see his keeping? The runs mean zilch when you are a poor keeper.
Apparently the only Pak player to practice today as per media reports

A huge favour he is doing to us all. Something he should have been doing ahead of the call for the first test.
Terrible performance today. Didn’t hear 2 nicks, one off a spinner, in an empty ground.
This, coupled with untidy keeping and dropped catches, can end up costing the team far more than his batting can help.
He shouldn’t be behind the stumps.
PCB should pay for Sarfaraz to get some hearing aids so he can start to hear these nicks.

Good catch by Sarfaraz (Rana Khush hua!)

I have seen and played enough cricket to figure out who comes prepared on the pitch. How do you know he was not, nothing replaces playing the actual international matches to be in top shape?
Seems to be getting back into the flow of things. Smart stumping by Sarfraz.

Good positive stats from Sarfraz someone needs to keep Riz on his toes
3 years pointlessly wasted of this guy
Let me ask the most objective main eventer on PP the latest on Sir Fraz Rana - How is your GOAT doing in this Test with his keeping ?
Or do they need to drop Shan, bring in Ris, give him the gloves and let Sir Fraz play as a specialist batter
Sir Fraz when in good knick is like gold dust down the order especially in asia, you need a keeper who can score briskly but unfortunately age is not on his side and his keeping ability lacks consistency
PCB at its best for destroying players career, Sarfraz left them egg faced
Your views about Sarfaraz returns? He needed time off. He looks rejuvenated.

Also about 3 dozen dropped catches, 2 dozen missed stumpings & 6 yawns were also avoided during this period. Sodhi can also bat competently on these roads.
