Whilst it can be argued that BCCI are much better in cultivating talent, the fact is that the success of both players have given new hope to domestic toilers in both countries.

Lot of India's success stories had strong first class foundations. SUre there were few misses. Laxman, Dravid, Pujara all played for India on the back of dominating domestic performance. Sarfraz has joined them. One difference between him and others is he has superior strike rate.

In case of KG, give him a number that he prefers and then give him a long run. He was the best product from domestic across many years. He should be trusted to come good.

I was impressed by Sarfaraz’s feisty persona, he showed enough promise to be persisted with at least for home conditions.
