Hoepfully we dont see thie clown in psl too.
The guy gets way too much hate.
He wants to play domestic cricket, and people slag him off.
If a player refuses to play domestic cricket, they get slagged off.
There’s no winning with our toxic fan base.
Doesn't he consistently top the charts in the PSL though?
The problem is the entitlement he has. He's been unfit forever, and in his absence, the team has put an improbable run together to amazingly get into the QEA final. However, when he gets fit, he 'expects' to walk into the team based on what? Seniority?
And when the coach decides that that's not happening, his first port of call is to go cry to the senior PCB management. He's clearly still used to that old culture where if you disrespect the chain of command and just go to your connections, it'll work for you.
When rightfully, both Wasim Khan and Nadeem Khan correctly stay out of the matter, he then completely throws his toys out of the pram and goes and crys to the media. That's a terrible attitude and an incredible level of entitlement. That's why he gets the hate.
The correct attitude would have been to be in the nets and get ready for the Pakistan Cup. However, he's now decided to go cry to the media and in effect damage his relationship with the coach, who by all accounts is doing a good job in selecting a team based on merit.
The Akmals unfortunately are an example of how not to behave professionally. I personally try not to hate on anybody, but have zero tolerance for arrogance

LAHORE: Former Test wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal on Saturday expressed his dejection over the response he received from his team Central Punjab’s coach and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final.
Talking to media here, the 38-year-old Kamran claimed that despite having recovered from injury, Central Punjab coach Shahid Anwar did not recall him for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final, which was currently in progress Karachi.
The veteran wicket-keeper/batsman suffered a shoulder injury in November 2020 and was subsequently dropped from CP team. He featured in his last Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match from Nov 6-9 against Balochistan at Karachi.
However Kamran, who represented Pakistan in 53 Tests, 157 ODIs and 58 Twenty20 Internationals, said he had recovered from the injury and was fully fit to play for Central Punjab in the Quaid Trophy final but lamented that the team’s coach did not give him due recognition.
“Being the senior most player of the team I deserve [due] respect from my coach to recall me for the final, as I am fit,” a dejected-looking Kamran said.
“I conveyed my grievances to PCB chief executive Wasim Khan and director National High-Performance Centre Nadeem Khan a couple of days ago. However, I have not received any response [from them] so far.
“Look, I left my cricket assignments abroad just for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Now when I receive this sort of attitude from my coach it certainly causes dejection,” Kamran, who last represented Pakistan in 2017 in an ODI against West Indies at Providence, regretted.
To a question on whether if he would be ready to play for Central Punjab in the Pakistan Cup One-day starting in Karachi from Jan 8, Kamran said he had not thought about it yet.
“I have informed the PCB high-ups about the attitude of the coach. Firstly, let’s see what the PCB does to my complaint,” Kamran said.

Being dropped… he isn’t taking it too well.
Unfair. He is still one of the best openers in Domestic.

In his defence …
No nothing.
Worst player in our history. Worst thing to happen to Pakistan cricket, more than spot fixing.
Worst keeper in Pakistan history.
He’s probably one of our best T20i openers ever.
Just the worst keeper? Let’s ignore his terrible keeping.
Name a batsman who had a worse record despite being given consistent chances in the longer formats. T20s have not been around long enough but he’s certainly not one of the best.
"Selection policy should be performance-based & not about a ‘like & dislike’ culture"
Former Pakistani wicket-keeper batter, Kamran Akmal has criticized the team’s recent performance against Australia in the home series and has said that the visitors defeated Pakistan with a weak team.
While criticizing Pakistan’s defensive approach throughout the series, the former right-handed batter said that the goals you set for yourself only help if you win the match and score 100s in different formats.
“When you play to keep protecting yourself, whether it’s Babar or anyone else, I don’t think it will help. You won’t be among the greats, and your cricket won’t go up,” he added.
Australia recently played a full series in Pakistan after 24 years where the hosts won the ODI series by 2-1 while the visitors claimed the Test series by 1-0 along with the one-off T20 match last week.
Kamran Akmal further said that it was fear and playing selfishly that forced Pakistan to lose the Test leg of the series while they played even worse in the T20 match.
Akmal had also criticized Pakistan when they lost the Test series and said that the team was afraid of defeat and they need to change their defensive attitude if they want to succeed against the high-flying Australian team.
It is pertinent to mention that Babar-led Pakistan was appreciated in the cricket fraternity for their magnificent performance. Pakistan’s batters made several national and international records and defeated Australia in an ODI series after two decades.
