When the T20 World Cup ended, we were told about Pakistan cricket needing surgery to correct itself.

Instead, what we have seen are decisions after decisions which have made Pakistan the laughingstock of world cricket.

Gillespie wasn't doing anything. He was a rubbish test coach who wanted the same rubbish 4 pacers and the same rubbish squad with Babar to play against England in the 2nd test with the same pitch conditons.

He did nothing to turn pakistan's test woes around.

As for Kristen, Yes Kristen was unfairly treated, he was called last minute and given an incompetent squad for wc 2024, Afterwards he hosted a local cup to find talent but they immediately discarded him after.

He wasn't given a chance to even implement a single change or recommendation.

Good or bad, the PCB should have honoured the contract of the foreign coaches and should have given them good support till the end of their tenure. This will obviously hurt PCB’s chances in future to lure high in demand foreign coaches who after the money and all alsolike to be associated with a professional organization where they are valued and respected. Definitely bad PR for PCB and reason why mature Pakistani fans of the game are utterly disappointed and angry today.

I'm sure if he was given a proper run, with proper authority, he would have done well. How is he expected to turn Pak cricket around with 2 months as coach (with no selection authority)?

I never called him a rubbish coach. He has fantastic achievements. However he flunked and failed pakistan in test cricket plain and simple.

After receiving an 800 run bashing from England his idea was to go with the exact same squad on the exact same pitch. That calls for termination.

Had that happened, Root would have scored like 700 runs in that series alone and Brooks would have created a record of Scoring 3 back to back triple centuries in test.

"There are administrative issues in Pakistan cricket. Constant changes, including the hiring of foreign coaches, are leading to complications. I feel disappointed by some of the decisions taken by PCB in this regard."

"If these foreign coaches were brought in, they should have been allowed to complete their tenures as per contract terms. The way they were let go was painful. This is not suitable for Pakistan cricket."

Cant argue with Hafeez about the foreign coaches.

let them implement their style of play or don't hire them in the first place.
