PCB should have offered Afridi a proper Send off in a T20 I. Maybe against WI or SL team that is going to visit. He is clearly fit and good enough to play for Pakistan as you saw in English T20. Besides no one cares about results in T 20 cricket. I think a T20 game in IPL, CPL or PSL is more important than T20I as there is actual point to be won and the game is taking place in a context.

Should have happened a long time back. The guy was kicked out in May 2016. Would have made more sense for Younis/Misbah this time.

Afridi decision to play Afghan T20 is disappointing

Afghanistan cricket board has recently refused to tour Pakistan blaming her for the unrest in their country and now Afridi is adamant to play their T 20 league. Yes Afridi is not a contracted player with PCB he is free to play in any league but to play in a country that like puts blame of every blast on Pakistani without any proof/inquiry is disappointing.
Afridi should realise he is Pakistani first and Pathan/tribal second.

Doesn't care about stats or forced ceremonial fair wells. For international cricket he is just a good loi player, but in Pakistan he's an ATG. Why would you pile him up with jobbers like Younis and Misbah in the same farewell match?

Man up and give him a proper send off in a t20 or ODI in South Africa, Australia or a world cup. He has earned that right and so have we, the millions *pause* and millions of Lalaland residents.
