Rizwan has completely obliterated Sharjeel both in T20 internationals and PSL but somehow we have to believe that Sharjeel is better

Jake fraser mcgurk has also proven himself to simply be a one match wonder so far into his career.Pakistan fans have a habit of hyping a player who is not in the team that he is better than anybody on the planet. But when there same guy was in the team in the past, he was nothing more than 1 match-wonder.
Your post has the answer. Mcgurk has played how many games vs some players who people are hyping???Jake fraser mcgurk has also proven himself to simply be a one match wonder so far into his career.
I wonder why Australia has chosen him to replace Warner? Jeez I wonder why![]()
Are you comparing JFM with Sharjeel? A guy who us unfit, debuted a decade ago ago, caught in fixing, came back with extra pounds around his belly and couldn't replace the players who were already performing well or were on verge of getting chance at international after toiling hard in domestic with much better fitness, intent, dedication and patriotism.Jake fraser mcgurk has also proven himself to simply be a one match wonder so far into his career.

Sharjeel only played 25 odi's and had an avg of 32 and sr of 113?Your post has the answer. Mcgurk has played how many games vs some players who people are hyping???
^^ @mango_bite77Sharjeel only played 25 odi's and had an avg of 32 and sr of 113?
Rizwan's first 25 odi's were hilarious. Infact I believe in his first 10 he avg 11 lol.
Sharjeel in domestics atm is avg 50 with sr 133? I dont think sharjeel is a century getter, But neither are mattew short or Jake fraser, only Travis head is.
Fraser and mattew short are playing to ultise the PP and basically act as Rohit Sharma did in 2023 wc. Rohit also got out as soon as the PP ended however he ensured 80 to 90 runs were achieved in the first 10?
Sharjeel did exactly that in 2017 aussie series?
You guys are looking for another Travis head, Gilchrist, Kohli, Pointing, Steve smith etc lol, keep expectations low.
Sharjeel is a 100x better then saim and Abdullah which shows how low the bar is to he a pakiatani opener.
Sharjeel's role should be to utilise the first 10 overs only. Fakhar should try to replicate his 180 wonders.@BouncerGuy
People need to understand the roles of a player. Every pakistani fan is looking to fill their team with 7 Pointings and 5 Mcgraths lol.
A team comprising of
1) Sharjeel Khan
2) Fakhar Zaman
3) Kamran Ghulam
4) Usman Khan
5) Tayyab Tahir
6) Salman Ali Agha
7) Sajid Khan
8) Nouman Ali/ Mubashir Khan
9) Aamer Jamal
10) Muhammad Husnain
11) Ali Raza
^^ This team is very solid and can play against australia.
Australia has bang bang players lol, even labu and Smith play faster then everyone in the current crop.
All these batters that I've chosen bat at sr 100+ when set.
You're not getting anywhere with
1) Saim (He's shown that he bats slow as molasses, infact he isn't even being considered a t20 player anymore)
2) Abdullah (Hahahahahaha)
3) Babar (In his prime he was a gun accumulator but his accumulation got exposed in Australia in 2017 where his century lost the match, currently he's a walking wicket)
4) Rizwan (irrespective of form whether good or bad, he always had the lowest sr amongst the top order in any league. In international he's only faster then Imam and Abdullah lol)
5) Agha (fair pick)
6) Niazi (we'll see)
7) Aamer jamal (Not bad but not a gun no 7)
8) Shaheen (Current form is a run machine)
9) Naseem Shah (Defensive bowler only)
10) Rauf (Run machine but wicket taking)
11) Husnain/ specialist spinner
If you don't want sharjeel that's fine.If Sharjeel had chosen to get fitter, not fix, and maybe work a little on footwork, they guy would have had a great career most likely.
He chose not to. It’s actually ridiculous how someone could choose to fix after the trio, with a PSL contract and a spot in international team. Pure greed. Which is why he’s worse than any of the other fixers we had.
Not to mention he showed no desire to get fit during his ban where he actually had time to do so.
We made significant leeway for him due to his talent. Khalid Latif did the same crime right in the same match. And he’s disappeared from domestic.
Usman is in his prime who outperformed Saim in psl and champions by a country mile by average and sr. He deserves a consistent run at opening in ODIs and t20s.If you don't want sharjeel that's fine.
But you can't have Abdullah, Imam and saim open.
Sorry to say this but Saim has been a total scam in cricket atm.
His 150 in champions one day cup was a treat to watch but he failed in every other innings. To top it off he doesn't give the impression of a bang bang player like people hyped him up to be, he's 100% been accumulating and striking it slow in almost every game he's played, but even then he's a walking wicket 90% of the time.
If the idea for saim is to have an accumulator who will score a 150 of 150 once in every 10 innings and fail in the rest then no thanks.
How is that any different from Fakhar Zaman? Infact it's a downgrade from fakhar because when fakher performs once in a blue moon, he doesn't accumulate, He dominates, and finishes the game. An onsong fakhar is virtually an atg batsmen.
Had fakhar been more consistent in his career and not a once in a blue moon wonder he'd be an atg.
Whereas saim on the other hand wouldn't.
As for Abdullah and Imam, less said about them the better.
So who do you even want as an opener? Cause Australia has TH, JK and MS? Neither of these lads are accumulators.
Farhan should only play red ball, and maybe odi? But he isn't a bang bang player. He has a terrific red ball record and is clearly suited to that.Usman is in his prime who outperformed Saim in psl and champions by a country mile by average and sr. He deserves a consistent run at opening in ODIs and t20s.
Dunno what’s happening to fakhar but obviously should be around.
Farhan might even get a go too.
Sharjeel isn’t the future anymore and isn’t worth the baggage. He should focus on trying to get his PSL spot back first.
Usman has to open in t20. It’s what we need and where he succeeded. I think in t20 he’d prefer to open at least.Farhan should only play red ball, and maybe odi? But he isn't a bang bang player. He has a terrific red ball record and is clearly suited to that.
Farhan and Omair need to replace Abdullah and Shan in red ball ASAP.
Usman Khan is good but I think usman wants the no 4 position. He loves bullying spin. I don't think UK wants to even open.
Thats alright and I don't mind your take. But Abdullah, Saim, Babar, Rizwan all 4 can't play in a playing 11.Usman has to open in t20. It’s what we need and where he succeeded. I think in t20 he’d prefer to open at least.
Sharjeel doesn’t even make it past the fitness test in ODIs. It’s a shame he couldn’t play champions yet it’s his fault again, as a sportsman you are expected to be fit.
Sharjeel has always striked me as a guy who relied on his talent and disregarded hard work. His whole game is natural timing and power which is more god given talent. Things he could have done to improve himself, fitness, footwork, not fixing, even technique he didn’t bother. Which is probably why he flew under the radar before Islamabad United brought him to light.
I think people reminisce about Sharjeel i don’t think he’s the same guy before fixing as evidenced by his constant psl failures. And he’s past his prime, older, slower reflexes and even less fit. The guys who do well after 35 tend to be the guys who work on fitness like Malik, YK, Misbah etc. He isn’t that.
It is a shame he started finally performing in domestic after he’s been dropped from PSL. However we still don’t have evidence at the highest level of domestic that he is good enough now. And we already have quite a few options who have all outperformed him in recent PSLs. I’d rather take a punt on Haris and Saim at this point over Sharjeel. There’s just little point, no long term vision with Sharjeel. And especially since we’re trying to boost fitness recently, the guy represents the opposite.
Both will end their careers as a nobodySharjeel is a terrible player, he's going to end his career as a nobody whilst Rizwan will finish as the greatest Pakistani wicket keeper of all time.
Imagine having all the godfathers in the PCB influencing everything to go in your way and still ending up as a nobody..Both will end their careers as a nobody
Misbah is also a nobody internationally.Imagine having all the godfathers in the PCB influencing everything to go in your way and still ending up as a nobody..
M Rizwan things.
Misbah is also a nobody internationally.
Things dont work in this way brother. It is similar to what poster boys of pseudo King Babar Azam used to compare him with Virat in first 50,60,70..... innings. It just don't work this way.
Misbah is a no body in the sense that he isn't regarded highly in cricket.![]()
