Sharjeel Khan's blackmailers threatened to increase demand by Rs 1 Lakh/day [Update #47]

Given the history of Pakistani cricketers, one has to be incredibly naive to think that this is smoke without fire.

If someone violated your personal space and took a video of you without you knowing, AND threatened to share it with the world, would you not be tripping out?
Sharjeel has clearly stated that the video is 'fabricated'. The way he was portraying himself on social media suggests that it isn't fabricated, that's all I was trying to covey.
If the video is fake he wouldn't be tripping out.
Although, the offender has violated Sharjeel's personal space, if the video has nothing to do with cricket.

Reports that Sharjeel is on his way to Islamabad (to the camp presumably) and has been told not to discuss this issue anymore.

Why would someone do that? Nowadays people do everything for money, hope Sharjeel smacks the living daylight of the blackmailers

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Update: Sharjeel Khan alleges blackmailers demanding Rs. 200K, or else will spread his 'fake video' on social media <a href="https://t.co/aZEoMCGpec">pic.twitter.com/aZEoMCGpec</a></p>— JAAG TV (@JaagAlerts) <a href="https://twitter.com/JaagAlerts/status/730675395939467264">May 12, 2016</a></blockquote>

Is there a connection?

Ahhhh

People already trying to look for some way to justify it

Where am I justifying it?

Do you know the absolute truth at this point in time? No obviously not..

that video might be of Sharjeel talking to someone about fixing

I totally forgot about this. They can't be correlated because if it is, issue must be about last year's PSL, which was new event and couldn't have attracted bookies.

Sethi's statement :

" We have reason to believe, they might or could have already damaged the league."

How come last year issue will have any correlation with this year's PSL unless the issue was last years PSL regarding the "desultoriness" by sharjeel on supposedly fake video".

Sharjeel seems worried, so it means the videos may have something that could harm him.

In Pakistan a lot of things can harm your reputation. It could be him drinking alcohol openly, or with a girl. It could also be him talking about fixing or something like that. It could even be as small as him making racist comments or using bad language.

Any of these things would effect his chances of getting selected given he is a new player.

Hopefully he comes out okay.

until the video is out, nothing can ppl comment on this.. sharjeel looks worried in his video is the only thing to say....

IPL scandal brought down the entire power structure of BCCI, what will this do to PSL and PCB?

That's what I thought of when I heard the news earlier. Sherlock there you go.

because nothing of such has come forward from a team as of yet

Yup, so until yesterday all were crystal clean? T20 leagues around the world with easy money but no real glory in winning trophies are breeding ground for fixing.

Dude could be someone trying to really trap and blackmail him.

Things happen here and you know it. Probably being set up.

Is it me or I am getting vibes from every post that you desperately want PCB to be embarrassed and Sharjeel to be somehow right?

Everyone seems neutral but you seem hell bent on finding any sort of escape route for Sharjeel.

If you contrast the PK young players intelligence with that of the young Indians, you see a disparity wider than the Atlantic ocean. Just look at the long line of cretins we have produced in the last decade and a half. Just to name a few: Asif, Amir, Butt, Shazad, Umar Akmal and bro, Sami, Wahab, Rahat and the list goes on. I can only think of Sarfraz as the player with any intelligence at all.

What I can see from your posts is you've jumped to conclusion already and gave your judgement.

It's possible there is evidence against Sharjeel/Khalid, that's why they're sent back, and if they really are guilty they should be punished severely.

And those who are judging like you have already terms others as cheats, just because they were 'questioned'. Again, wait and let the details come out.

More often than not Paks are actually involved when allegations are made, but nothing is clear at the moment.

Actually I've been quite neutral.

I didnt' even comment in the Irfan thread because it was a ridiculous thread in my opinion.

You are not guilty because the police question you. Anyone can be questioned. Tomorrow if police question me about a patient, does that mean I am guilty?

So you can't say I've made up my mind.

But it just seems from your post you've made up your mind that they are not guilty.

Anyhow, lets see how it pans out.
