I think posters should ease up a little on [MENTION=138241]axl100mph[/MENTION] a little. His relative young and obviously followed cricket during Akhtar's era and will understandably have an affinity for him and be sympathetic to his views.
That said even though I don't thonk Ahktar is a malicious he is a spoilt child who never grew up and was never disciplined. He acts like a spoilt child even as he enters middle-age.
This much is evident from reading his book, where he paints himself as an eternal victim, never once acknowledging his many flaws. Like a spoilt child he will seek to draw attention to himself even if it is in an undignified manner.
I can see why fans sympathise with him because he constantly makes righteous statement in attempt his great character and noble attentions. However, it soon becomes clear that it is dolt rhetoric and that his actions never tally with it.
I also initially thought he was misunderstood too but realised he was just a spoilt brat who never grew up.
