It is Boring only because people, those who don’t understand it, don’t try to give it a second thought as to why he or she thinks what they think at that moment !!!!! Was WW2 boring ???? Each side positions itself for the best strike, if and when the situation arises ..... sooooo ..... nothing is wrong ..... just the ways of the world !!!!!

Thanks. I do think complexity is an issue for cricket, but that’s not a big deal, if it’s followed with passion. Simple reason is, if anyone is interested in the game, he’ll learn the basic rules & fundamentals of the game. Most people start with a negative mindset that it’s too long (even T20) and lose interest to dig in details. So, often it ends in praising few slogging. Tennis is also very complex in terms of scoring & diversity (90% won’t be able to explain why Rogers dominate Grass & Rafa Clay) and sometimes a Tennis game takes over 4-5 hours - but it’s probably the 2nd most global game & among the fastest growing game.

Depends on where the poll was done. Also the target audience of such a poll. Cricket is a game where lots of people who don't know about it think it is just a 5 day game. Also there are people who don't follow any sport and care about it. If you see the list most of the sports have more votes for boring than exciting. I felt Baseball and Golf as two of the most boring games ever. I cannot bring myself to watch a baseball game.
