How are my comments puzzling? You have mentioned Injuries? So did i. Thus my reservations on his fitness.
Also if hes injured all time then clearly hes not established himself despite his nice averages.
So what exactly is baffling?
He probably would be an established star if his fitness and injuries hadnt occured but his career has been stop start.
Only stating the obvious.
Anyone who is attacking Harris doesn't understand his potential.Don't know why people are attacking him, a 100 at a decent SR. Haris might struggle to truly accelerate but he isn't that slow, he doesn't struggle to keep the score ticking along. I'll take consistent over a bit faster.
Easily slots in at 4 for Malik. Though will be a problem to get him in for a senior so soon to the world cup.
Perfect replacement for Sarfraz if only Umar could keep wickets.
1. Fakhar
2. Imam
3. Babar
4. Haris
5. Umar
6. Hafeez
7. Imad
8. Faheem
9. Hassan
10. Aamir
11. Shaheen

The part I found puzzling was that you said: "his batting hasnt take off at all in any format yet".
Most of his inns have been nice 30s and 40s and then thrown away. Yes hes got a few recent hundreds but hes not progressed as you would expect from such a player.
LOL, and you expect umar akmal to guide the spinners and control the game?
A player should make the team on performance first. Sarfraz has been the worst batsman on the team for a while now.
Mentally lazy, sets very low goals and is happy to achieve.

he's a keeper plus captain. Batsman is his third role.
do not forget clutch performances in CT match against SL, and then captaincy in the final.
Lack of fitness effects concentration. Its a shame as hes a good player in making.
I think Haris' best spot is #3. #4 might mean that he comes in after the 20-25th over and has to play attacking cricket from the get-go. Babar might have to take one for the team and drop down to four himself.
Sarfaraz isn't a batsman. He makes the team on his keeping.
You have serious problems if you are expecting someone batting at 6/7 to be the best batsman in the side.
Either that or you are just one of those "experts" who barely even played gully cricket yet act like Michael Holding is their student.
I do not have to be a Michael Holding to see what a liability Sarfraz has been with bat since he became captain. The excuse of 6/7 does not work for two reasons:
1. He is a captain who can easily bat at #4 and yet he sometimes chooses to bat below Hassan Ali.
2. He plays for a very weak batting line-up where there are plenty of opportunities to contribute at #6.
I see bits of what everyone else sees but you know that when he gets 35 in any innings he thinks he has done his job of staying in the team for another game. There seems to be no desire and I agree that fitness has played it's part but the guy will drift along for another year and then fade out.
Time to milk that useless Tendularkesque century for a couple more series. Look out for a few more sub par performances even by his standards.
Selfish and very limited batsman who is at sea in LOIs.
I cant believe the amount of people here asking for Haris to be dropped for the WC. Which middle order batsmen do we have to replace him? His injuries have prevented him to get fully established, but he is the best we have in the moment for that 3/4 spot with Babar. We will need him to step up on the big stage.
Harry Sohail cannot chase this even if he batted five times. He is a 240-250 target batsman at max.
He is just doing Asad shafiq here , saving his spot by playing fast
If Pakistan needs a batsman to score a aggregate of 250 runs that Tendulkar would be proud of then yes. If Pakistan want to far in the tournament then no.

Done his job for the chase so far. Still feel the same?
Absolutely not, we don’t need another tuk tuk selfish player in the team. He has failed miserably in this series, apart from one selfish century in losing cause.
What exactly is his job? Kohli also comes one down and he thinks his job is done after scoring 60 odd and the team is still 200 runs away from the target?
If he wins Pakistan the game it will be a brilliant innings.
If he doesn’t it’s not necessarily a failure. Specifically if he makes 60 at above a 100 strike rate and the rest of the team flop and we lose, he hasn’t won us the game but he hasn’t also lost it for us by failing or playing slowly. Which is what you seemed to think he would definitely do.
He is still batting and slowing down as he approaches his ton. Marks of a very selfish batsman.
Like I said he is a batsman for a 240-250 target.... The required run rate is steadily climbing all the while Haris Sohail is at the crease. In the end he will get out and the batsmen following him will have a run rate of 10+ to chase.
Job done![]()
Errr, NO.
Also, the same criteria applies to useless Sarfraz, who can't hold a bat since the last 2 years. He's worse than a tailender now and shouldn't be in the team either.
Babar, Haris, Umar are our best bats.
our odi team becomes a joke once you have got sarfraz, malik, hafeez and imad waseem in one line up.
WE could afford to have 1 player who scores 30 runs, but not 4.

Certainly.
But he will not score many runs on those England pitches.
