Should India Play's Trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Mohammad Shami together in World Cup?

Its better for india to pick ashwin over Siraj on slow tracks, he brings value with his batting abilities which could be so handy down the order.

Playing both Siraj and Shami means we will have one fewer batsman in the lineup and our tail starts to early, which could backfire in knockout games, especially if we lose wickets early.

When has having an extra batsman at 7 saved us in a knockout ODi match? You have to go for the kill with the amazing bowling we have!

We don't know; we may face that kind of situation in this World Cup.

Our batting is always fragile in knockout games. It's better to play with one specialist batsman rather than a specialist bowler. Imagine if we lost 6 wickets for 200 while chasing the target of 260 with this batting lineup. Our tail starts too early with the current lineup.

That’s a very pessimistic approach, I would rather go for the kill.

Honestly though when has that lower order ever contributed to our wins? I cannot recall?

I'm more worried about scenarios where we're 180/4 chasing 260. Having Ashwin at 8 could be the difference between a straightforward chase and a stressful one. Particularly in a knockout game.
Not true No guarantees here. Ash could be out for 0 . If 6 batsmen cant do the job , 7 wont.. Need a proper 5 pronged bowling unit which Ind has right now..

The only box that India needs to tick is when they will have a 300+ run chase to win the game.

That's when you might need batting depth. But this attack has been so good that they have never let opposition score anywhere close to 300 or beyond.

Bumrah - 15 wickets.
Shami - 13 wickets.
Siraj - 9 wickets.

Indian pace trio destroying all teams in World Cup 2023.

Unstoppable bowling attack, these guys won't be choking in any knockout games, it's up to India batters and spinners to pull their weight.

Conceding 300 is not a good idea to start with. One of the reason why we play 5 specialist bowlers is not to concede 300.

Well, I hope India don't. The team we are having, there is a higher chance for us defending 225 than chasing say, 325.

I have more faith on our bowling than batting where in a high run chase if we lose one of Rohit or Kohli cheaply, I don't back Gill, Iyer, Rahul, SKY to chase down the total especially with Shami coming to bat as early as 8.

If New Zealand will opt to bat first, it will be the biggest mistake and poor captaincy because Bumrah and Siraj are swinging the ball perfectly. They will walk through their half of the batting order in the power play.

But doesn't the ball swing and seam more under lights?

In my honest opinion I consider this trio of Bumrah, Siraj, and Shami superior to any other bowling unit in the world at the moment.

No one can match the class of these three right now.

True Match Winners!
