England should've won 4-0. They had a golden opportunity to do so. :inti

2nd Test should've been saved. 4th and 5th Tests should've been won.

This is where Australia is pretty ruthless. They thrashed India 3-1.

Whoa looks like this guy Karun Nair started his career way back in 2016. He also has a triple century to his name, but only played 10 matches?

India trashed Australia in Australia twice in 2018-19 & 2020-21 which Australia cant even dream of.

India even trashed your favorite 9-0 back in 2017 in your tiny island:misbah

Sunny called this test victory better than Gabba. Do you guys agree?

I don't, as good and sweet as this victory was, Gabba was something else.

Yes Gabba is right at the top. Australia hadn't lost at Gabba since 1988, to beat them there & winning the series in absence of Kohli, Bumrah, Ashwin, Shami, Jadeja was icing on the cake.

If current team had played against Australia, even Australia would have received the same fate (at least 2-2). Yes Australia were ruthless in previous 4 BGTs... (In fact England are better). Australia saw the glimpse of this team in the 1st match (Perth without Rohit and under Bumrah's captaincy)

If this was the WTC final then England would not be fielding its B team.

India flopped twice in the WTC final.

The less said about beating a 10 man team the better.
It was a long series and last match... If England was not interested, Stokes would have not bowled a long spell in 4th test match (to win & close the series there). Also Woakes wouldn't be coming to bat at the end...

WTC Final is a one-off bu11$hit, where you can come fresh & go fresh... Ideally WTC should be awarded to table-toppers of a Test-Cycle...

Should have, might have, would have, could have .... holds for zilch. Or else Pakistan would have been up 8-0 against India in ODI World Cups, instead of being down 0-8. What matters is the result.

No way.i think every captain wants to equate a good one to gabba.rohit also termed his alone sena victory in sa to gabba unsuccessfully.Gabba is the highest state of India's defiance and game quality produced by a team filled with newbies, injured players and exhausted players in the absence of half a dozen key players .

Completely agree.

Did Rohit really do that? Laughable to say the least. That SA test win was more due to pitch playing havoc with batsmen.

Gabba win is unparalleled, I think only Kolkata 2001 rivals it. Won't want to pick one of these 2. Both are extremely rare and sweet.

Rohit wanted to project himself as good as Kohli in terms of test captaincy.

I am not Indian so can't comment from your perspective but it seems like Sunny is just suffering from a bit of extra enthusiasm because this match is recent.

When you view it without emotion, India did play well in the whole tour but this match should have been done and dusted the moment they set England such a large total.

Yeah, Sunny is suffering from recency bias.

Vs Australia
India missed the following
-Shami
-prasidh and harshit dint play all games
-jurel dint even get a chance because of roko barring one game
-basically roko helped Aus win. They played for aus

Kl shifted to every place due to rohit. Rohit playing at 6 in pink ball test is the most comical of all

If anyone who is not suited to play a pink ball test then it's Rohit.

Worse still, he was leading us in that test. Talk about being privileged.

Entire his career , rohit had an issue against incoming balls .Thats why dhoni shifted him from mo to opening .he had the audacity to bat at 6 in Adelaide saying he doesn't want to disturb the opening. But he went to open in next test.made a mockery of the captaincy privilege. Kohli also didn't contribute apart from 20 or 30.

Yeah, Rohit has obstructed our test team a lot especially during last 3 years

No way, we'd have lost series against Kiwis and Australia if not for this RoKo

No way. In Gabba we played with 10 players. Saini was injured very early in 7th over. Atleast woakes bowled 18 overs in fhrst innings This was the bowling attack

Mo Siraj 3rd test
SUndar Debut test
Natrajan Debut test
Thakur 2nd test
Saini 3rd test (ruled out after first 7 overs of first innings)

Essentially just 4 bowlers all rookies Compare that with

Cummins
Hazlewood
Starc
Lyon
Pujara vs Labu

Nothing can replace that win. Here Siraj bowled like a warrior with amazing skill and presence of mind. Much like pressure helped England when we chased a total of 192 at Lords, pressure helped India here as they were able to cope against skillful bowling.

Chris Woakes injury looks career ending. All he did was running after the ball to stop boundary. How did he get such bad injury just from that?

India's bowling attack was too inexperienced and one of the rookie seamers needed to step up.
Rohit and Virat were massive burdens for India, India look a far better team without them.
I think shami is done for, no need to bring him up now

Not even close. We beat a much superior Aussie side with Warner/Smith/Marnus + pace trio at their fortress with 10 men and without Kohli, Bumrah etc and while chasing.

It's the greatest Test match win for India in my lifetime

Sunny Bhai dislikes England for some reason.
He named them champion whingers about 10 or 15 years back? I think it dates back to many many years. In 1994 they complaiend about smog or something? They always had something to complain about. So more he hears it more he doubles down.
