Perhaps you feel he should continue as skipper in all 3 formats.

Others may think it would be better for him to step down in one or perhaps 2 of the formats and it would improve his batting, keeping and captaincy.

Whatever it is, he seems to be struggling captaining in all 3 formats.

Your thoughts?

Has nothing going for him right now, no great individual performances (sorry T-20's don't really count much), fails to lead by example fitness wise, performance wise, clueless captaincy and some personality defects.

Should the team continue to under perform the criticism will only grow louder and louder

It's easy to criticize Sarfraz because things are not going his way atm. But what other options do we have for Test captaincy? I don't see anyone capable of replacing him. We should be patient with him.

I think he should take a break from cricket for a few months. Right now he is a mess. We know that in big matches he can be the real difference with his batting and captaincy. Give him some time away from the game because right now he’s not in the zone. It’s not easy being a keeper and leading the side in all three formats.

He should not be captain of any format if his defensiveness continues. The success in t20 format attributes to some sluggish pitches against weaker teams. Even if he is removed from other formats the bowlers playing t20is will only look to defend runs rather than taking wickets. This approach only works on sluggish pitches. This defensive skill is also evident as a QG captain with bowlers like Anwar Nawaz Muhammad Ullah Hassan Khan just going for containing the runs. The rule is simple wickets win you matches. On true pitches once the batsman are set they can play strokes so you have to go for wickets rather than just containing. On sluggish wickets stroke make is not supported but you can dead bat everything just like what today has happened.

Was about to make this thread. I seriously doubt his captaincy in tests. He's not stable enough to come up with a consistent plan. All that randomness dont work in test cricket.

But again, what are our choices? That Azhar?

T20: Babar (groom him)
Odi: Sarfraz (Babar (vc))
Test: Asad (Babar (vc))

First of all Babar is not a captain, neither is Asad. We are better off playing without a captain than these folks.

The only person who has some sort of captaincy potential is Fakhar Zaman other than that I don't see anyone

Remove him as captain. Has been pathetic with his captaincy decisions and his wicket keeping is not up to mark.
For Tests: Asad Shafiq
For ODI and T20I's: Mohammad Hafeez

I don't like the idea of Hafeez as a captain but he is a very shrewd and smart thinker of the game and we have no other choice.

He can't even jog fast enough to take a run these days, skipping door ki baat hai.

He should not captaijln T20...as someone mentioned earlier groom someone else...

T20 is absolutely useless as an international sport, suitable only for various leagues.
So ...get someone else to captain.

Well there are no candidates but it isn't like he is Kohli and irreplaceable. Even Sharma is a better loi cap than Kohli. But for Pakistan we do need someone for the future as sarfraz's yelling is getting annoying, especially since all he does contribute in is captaincy. We need to be searching for someone decent wk who can captain the team. Babar is mental midget, as we see he fails in every India game bc of unknown pressure.
