False pride and ego is causing most of the problems for Pakistan cricket.
Indian players should have shook hands imo but Naqvi's reaction is even weirder.
Spot on! Instead of focusing on cricket itself, improving our domestic structure and bringing some stability, Naqvi has chosen the route of endless chopping and changing, chasing cheap points with theatrics. Since the day he came in, he has been playing musical chairs with captains, coaches, and everything else related to Pakistan cricket.
Some fans here defend it under the name of “merit,” but deep down they know the reality: Gillespie and Gary were forced to resign within months, Shaheen was wrongly removed from T20I captaincy, and Babar should never have been reinstated in that manner. On top of that, players who openly took cheap shots at Babar and ruined the dressing room environment were brought back. He even supported a fixer like Amir, revived failed and recycled players, and talked about a “surgery” that till today makes no sense.
Meanwhile, our two best players were punished and replaced with failures, guys who haven’t proved themselves at either domestic or international level. Add to that the unnecessary posturing and silly fights with India, only to lose to them again and again. And yet, unbelievably, there are still people here blindly supporting Naqvi as if he’s some savior, when in reality he has been the worst of them all.
The one person he hasn’t touched is Aaqib Javed, who has failed as a coach, failed as a selector, failed in every role he’s taken in the PCB setup, yet keeps conveniently shifting from one position to another. That alone shows what a complete joke this management is and an even bigger joke are those who can’t see it and keep blindly cheering for every wrong decision being made.
