This idea was coming in my mind it will be great to have psl division 2.
Reason no 1:The city fight going on for 7 and 8 franchise from now onward another division will mean we can have 8 more cities' teams.
Reason 2:Some good players who went unsold or who don't get chances in PSL including foreigners can get a chance there to improve themselves.
Reason 3:Good money for PCB
Reason 4:more entertainment and our players who don't get selected in PSL will not have to beg other countries' leagues or PCB for any allowance
It will be best the top 2 teams for PSL division 2 will get promoted in PSL division 1 and last 2 teams from PSL division one will be relegated to PSL division 2
There can be a under 19 and regional player quota in PSL DIV 2 so that more players will get chances

I don't think PSL can accommodate 12 teams (That's bare minimum for 2 Division). One reason is that the economics behind it - 12 teams means a smaller bucket and the foreign players' quality will go down. 2nd issue is over killing the interest. For PSL, what they can do is premium league & plate league after 10 matches (1st round). That's after double league 1st round, top 3 teams play for Premier league, bottom 3 for plate. 4 matches each, followed by a Gala Final for both league. That's 10+4+1 = 15 matches for 4 finalists, and in total 44 matches, which can be finished in 35-38 days. Otherwise if PSL is expanded or extended beyond it's economic capacity, what'll happen is Anamul & Shohag Gazi will end up playing in PSL 1st Division as foreign picks.
What you are telling is not a possibility, it's essential for any Domestic system - I wrote something on this and one of the major point there was 16 team (could be Regional model or Corporate model) National League in 2 Division, which should accumulate 200 top cricketers in Country + may be 50 youngsters. My suggestion was for List A, but T20 is probably call of the day, which is fair enough, still works.
But, what doesn't work is this joke - draft system for domestic cricket. It never worked for long term, won't ever work in a functional system, otherwise we would have seen it Europe or North American sports. Ideally, there should be 16 City based Team (Well, large Cities can have 2 teams like whites, blues, pinks, purples, crimsons, icy blues, metallic ashes ... doesn't matter), WITH AT LEAST 1/3rd THE PLAYERS ARE LOCAL, rest can be coming from other Cities. Idea is that, since talent isn't uniformly distributed across country, so every player will have a base City - he'll try to get into the club (s) of his city, if not he can get the NOC and go for open bidding from any other City - so at the end, at least 90% of top 200 players will have some club and more or less Blues, Dolphins, Stallions, Rams, Wolves .... to Mirpur Commandos & Gwadar Chankus will have comparable squad and PAK domestic stats will have some meaning - you won't be dropping from your chair (almost) after watch the belly size of a fast bowler taking 16 wickets in one match for the Premium league ..........
BUT, those clubs has to be a continuous process and the squad (most of it) will be retained so that there is a continuation in team culture - may be every year 2/3 players will be released, 2/3 coming from youth teams and 2/3 retires - but the core of every squad remains intact, Captain, coach (s) and selectors are retained for long term under some annual contract, so that it's a continuous process like what they are doing in IND or BD. In short, this is how club teams works in every sports - from Ice Hockey to EPL to Aussie rules to Sepak Takraw. This is a joke that every time they do some draft and players need to suck something to get his club - biggest piece of the Charade was that last year's T20 winners didn't make this years cut because of their FC result .... and some tool will say that I have a vendetta against PCB ......
