Should there be an all-star game in the PSL?

So it was something I was thinking about and hear me out first lol so I know an all star games isn't the most important thing but the reason I think it would be great is to have like festival type vibe , to have great fun for the fans and also for the players to kick back have fun enjoy some laughs and have a fun game of cricket. Also along with the all star game they can have a skills competition


Aside from loving cricket I enjoy Ice hockey soccer and basketball too and I'm these sport in North America they have all star games with skill competitions why I am bringing this up is because it brings a lot of positivity to the fans and players and it's something I would like to see in the PSL

On my first original point the all star game brings a festival type vibe even before the game itself fans and players are interacting having some fan , also mini games going on some bands before so on and so forth, I think this would do the PSL some good especially if the game itself was held in Pakistan


On my second point it's fans for the fans as well because it's match that is played for fun so the players tend to entertain the fans more and take more risk and just enjoy them selfs more so from a fan point of view it's great to watch.

Third point is that it's fun for the players it's simple they get to enjoy have fan share some memories and it also brings the players closer to each other since the best of the league players participate

For the skills competition theirs so many things you can do

Biggest six competion

Hit the stumps competion

A wicket keeping contest

A catching contest

Fasted bowler contest

And much more


In regards to the teams it self the fans would vote both teams would consist of 2 players each from one team and the fans cans vote for the captain so as an example you can Sarfraz eleven vs Darren Sammy eleven

Again it's not the most important thing too have but its just an idea I'm looking at it more as way for the players and fans to enjoy and have fun but also to make the league more special by implanting this idea

I think it should be world-wide because that would be most exciting. Have a batting, bowling and fielding competition, one for each.

Then for All-Star Game (T20), it can be like NBA format; You can have two teams, 11 Asian players and 11 SENAW (Rest of world) players. Kohli captain from Asia while is Sammy captain from SENAW.

Player pool can be something like:
Asia: Kohli, Bumrah, Rohit, Dhawan, Perera, Mushfiqur, Shakib, Mustafizur, Rashid, Imad, Amir

SENAW: Russell, Sammy, Finch, Maxwell, Tahir, Miller, Buttler, Morgan, Ali, Boult


Then Kohli & Sammy can alternate picks from both pools.

You make a fair point and as I mentioned it's not the most important thing it's just to give the league it self a festival type vibe . I am a fan of t20 league but their not the most important things either this is why you can implent a fan aspect too it as well, I would never suggest you have an all star game during the World Cup or even a test series due to the seriousness and importance of both

Don't get me wrong teams compete hard when they play league cricket but their is a fan aspect to league cricket as well

So this is what i had in mind again its my own opinion what i would like to see is that if they had an all star game in the futue PSL all the teams should be represented properly 20 each team should have 2 representatives per team so since its only a 2 teams competing their should be 4 representatives of that team

As mentieod earlier i believe it should be decided by the fans who participates in the all star game based on a online voting poll. Now lets say if we were to do one today i think it would look something like this based on some performances so far ( again you do not have to agree with my list the point is just to get the idea) .

The teams would be Sarfraz eleven vs Imad eleven

both teams must have 2 representatives of each team and are must have 4 foreign players each in their squad of 12.

I had biggest six competion

Yes, one extra match after the finals which pits the team that won the trophy against the eleven best players from all of the other teams would make for a great contest.

The winning team should get a nice payday as a reward, because lets face it, these T20 leagues are all about the money.

Though, we could still have an all star game if it has good demand.

Like if we have 2 legs going on, UAE and Pakistan, the first game of the Pakistan leg could the be the all star game day, where they have a 2 day festival, one day is skills competation and the 2nd day is the match of all star players.

Or we could have a finals day, where before the final, the all star teams play.
