Or are we agreeing to everything he said and just hoping that Trumps calling a bluff and we can continue accepting our billion dollar pay outs. I would think if not our prime minister the very least our foreign minister should reply in kind that we are not responsible for Afghanistan and trump should clean up his own mess or use his new best friend India to help him with his problem.... We are showing the world that by not responding we have no back bone and we agree with Trumps statements. We shouldn't need China to speak for us either which also makes us look bad...

The best political move would be to stay calm and not get riled up by the man child. A statement is not entirely necessary becuase as of right now they have ZERO control, or any clout for that matter, in the region and their deployment of new forces would require (realistically) Pakistan's logistical assistance which when the time comes could be the ideal bargainig chip and something to assert on them for exaclty who conntrols the region.

What I find funny is when western nations especially Americans try to bring in India in this whole Afghanistan debate asking them for help on the matter :)) :)) I mean no offense to the intelligence of the White house staff and their chief strategist but go read a map man !! :))), there is an entire PAKISTAN TO THE WEST AND HUMONGOUS CHINA TO THE NORTH that stands between 'Peace loving India' and Afghanistan.

Believe it or not, I actually have friends from the region, (Nooristan) to be precise, who claim that India does have contacts with the afghan govt (reads GOVERNMENT) but that's about it, on the ground they're influence is non existent at best. And for all the 'friendship talk' that happens between the two countries the bitter truth that if you stop a normal Afghani walking down the streets of Kandahar and ask him about his opinions on 'Bahrat' he will surely tell you in kind on what exactly he considers of a race which they deem is even inferior to their eastern neighbours :))) (at least we have something in common and i.e. relgion)

Trump is a falling empire and just a week earlier one of the republicans (I am forgetting the name here, saw this in a report by Anderson Cooper), an avid previous supporter during the campaign questioned his mental state and whether he was intellectually fit enough to lead the country or not. This has never entirely happened in any presidential tenure when people from their own party start questioning the sanity of a standing president, according to what I have read and heard Trump will most probably make it (at best) until the 2018 mid term. The Russians and Chinese have beautifully artifculated this global masterstroke where US with each passing day is becoming as irrelevant as it can get and with the CPEC happening + China taking the lead on climate change I see US by large loosing a lot significance in the region as well.

The Russian too smelled it correctly and therefore they are establishing, for the first time, diplomatic relations with Pakistan as they too are looking to regain lost ground. Let Trump claim and issue whatever he wants, with North Korea disaster waiting to happen I am just glad that this entire adminstration is destroying America as we speak - Serves them right !!

Amazing how resident PP masters are more experts than foreign policy experts of big nations.

There is so much information which is being given for free on PP. Hope some upcoming nation's foreign policy is designed based on the in house experts.

There is no win-win situation for Pakistan.
No one takes trump seriously and USA got no cards to play against Pakistan so no response is needed.
Sadly, FO already responded.

Afghanistan shares its border with Pakistan and if US needs help it's not coming from India who wants nothing to do with Afghanistan and Pakistan. Infact they are probably laughing at Trumps statement and busy shaking hands with the Israel prime minister. That's all India ever does just try and shake hands but you won't see them helping Israel on the Palestine issue or help US with the Afghanistan issue...Us sooner or later will realize that it needs Pakistan to solve its Afghanistan crisis and not the other way around....

USA has got enough cards to play againist every country in the world. They crippled the economy of a Oil producing Iran, despite Russian Indian and Chinese support Iran's economy was devastated.

They have badly affected the Russian economy as well.

Pakistan neither has Iran's oil or Russia's Oil,influence and sheer power.

Who is even in charge of Pakistan at the moment? What is the name of the Prime Minister?

This is why Bhutto Sb was so great, call him out for anything you want but he made Pakistan not only important but one of the leading nations of the world when it came to significance of our will.

These goons have no self respect.

America still needs Pak in Afghanistan. They will receive a reply at the right time.

It has been a routine SOP.

White House expresses displeasure and Pentagon statement tries to neutralise these statements from White House.

No need to reply.

LOL perhaps in the White House he is forgetting that even the toilet paper for the US forces in Afghanistan goes through Pakistan. Alienate us at your own peril. Perhaps "peace loving India" can dig an underground tunnel from India to Afghanistan and supply your toilet papers :))
