I saw this a while ago but took it seriously recently, I have bought one of this to improve my game and it will be used at my club to improve my fellow team mates game.

Personally I think it is a good thing as it will improve your game, I like the bowling machine too but when you will be shortening the distance the pitch length will become small which will mean your abilty to read the ball will be affected and probably get worst as you will be spending more time with bowling machine, thats what I think basically.

Once I get I will post a detail review but for now see there website and videos;

Never heard of this before, it certainly looks very good and you should be able to get in some solid practice as a batsman.

Split ownership of one between me and the cousin basically as soon as this thang came out last year, great tool for engineering short pitched bowling which we otherwise wouldn't face in nets.

Sami how is it overall? Not just about short pitched but overall is it a good tool?

Also do you have to put a lot of power when using it?

You have to put your shoulder into it to generate properly quick deliveries, but it's a lot less taxing than running in all day.

Did you order it directly from Sidearm-cricket.com ? How much was shipping to CA? I am trying to order it but it says to email someone for international orders.

No, I am getting some stuff so I told that guy to buy it and send it along that stuff.

Methinks I'm a better judge of length than I was before we got it.

Would you say it is better than bowling machine?

Also imagine the thrower for long can he throw before getting tired ?

Can't say, I've never faced a bowling machine before. Once you get the hang of it, it doesn't take much effort so it's down to the arm of the person using it.

Seems like Pakistani players and coaches are also using this tool;

Best one is pro version as we had the inventor in our shop last week and left quite a few units.
It is quite handy for practising against fast bowling ad i believe u can swing the ball with it

Highly recommended; simple but great tool ... I have been using it since summer and it has made a huge difference. Within very short space of time batsman can face much much more deliveries. I recon its better than bowling machine as its more realistic to live bowling conditions. Bowling machine is useful to practice a specific shot; whereas Sidearm helps you to read the line & length better … and yes it can generate very good pace too

I got pro version; it takes bit of practice to perfect the throws but once you get the hang of it, the fun starts ... it has been used by many international teams for quite some time now

Salaam.

Good to see this thread, bought the club one for my team :)
Will start using it indoors in a few months time, insha Allah.

Anyone here tried both the club and pro version?
