Similarities between 1992 and 2023 World Cup for Pakistan

1992 - A young left arm pacer Wasim Akram.
2023 - A young left arm pacer Shaheen.

Finals - Shaheen will rip through English middle order ala Akram to win the WC.
English already ripped.

Pakistan have to lose to Australia and Afghanistan to become properly cornered(tigers).

If they do, then road really opens for epic 7 game straight win comeback similar to 92.

All Pakistani supporters should pray for losses in two upcoming matches.

:sa
Pakistani prayers have worked for Aussie match. They need to work one last time for Afganistan. 🐯

No similarities really.

1992 team was a brilliant team (young Inzi, young Wasim, Imran as the leader etc.). 2023 team is much worse.

The only similarity so far is that both teams lost 4 games on the dot 😂😂

We were the hot favourites for world cup 2023.

But what happen with our team is a question to look into ! Now the qualification scenario for pakistan is looking impossible.

In 1992, Pakistan had been bundled out for 74 in their group match against England. England were well on course at 24/1 when an unseasonal rain came and washed out the match. Pakistan thus escaped from a certain defeat. This defeat would have seen Pakistan getting eliminated from the race for semi final as they had already lost to India, South Africa and West Indies. This valuable point ensured that Pakistan managed to qualify for the semi final by the skin of its teeth. That was qudrat ka nizaam working in favour of Pakistan in that world cup.

One cannot expect such divine intervention in every tournament. If Pakistan's qualification in 1992 as also in 2022 T20 WC was qudrat ka nizaam then their non qualification in 2023 ODI WC is also qudrat ka nizaam. Remember, Afghanistan that defeated three WC champions and was on the verge of defeating another ex WC champion deserves a semi final place even more that Pakistan. Even they have not qualified. But one cannot find them complaining.
