This is not a comparison thread

I just wanted to point out how similar these two players are

SLA All-rounders who are hard to hit around

Both at start of their careers only time will tell who will be more successful

Santner was bowling quicker tho. Some balls were above 100kph.

On a side note why do our players struggle so much with the short ball?

They both bowled very well with some assistance.

Let's see how they do on more flatter wickets.

Just like players from outside subcontinent struggle against spin in general, they grow up playing on pitches which are not conducive to bounce so do not have techniques that are refined for bouncers.

I can understand not having bouncy pitches to prepare on. But you would think going to a place which is conducive to bounce you would practice those shots. Shehzad plays em good. The one imad got out on could have been avoided.

First time watching Imad Wasim bowl and I was impressed, he kept it tight and even got the runout of Guptill after building dot ball pressure on KW.

Doesn't work like that, you can't just simply be able to play the shot it has to be a shot you learn when you are young.

Hafeez is an excellent puller of ball too but again as they don't play it often over the course of their younger days it simply can't be taught.

You either have it or you don't.

He is usually even harder on slow low surfaces such as UAE and will be vital in the T20WC in India.

Alot of overseas players are good players of spin. This just sounds like an excuse. it just seems like you practice everything else. Why not something you really suck at

My friend it is all about our domestics where ball doesn't bounce over waist height. So,how can you expect our upcoming batsmen to be really good on short ball because eventually they are picked from domestic matches.Aren't they?

A good example will be just recently played QeA trophy final.Saw that? If you did you will get my point.

Imad will be reported soon for chucking, just wait till he visits India, everytime Pakistan unearth a decent wicket taking spin bowler/allrounder, BCCI find ways to get him reported and Imad is no exception I'm afraid.

If BCCI lets him which won't be the case, I'm pretty sure a few umpires (likely to be Indian) will report him for suspect action in WT20 and PP will melt down in the process.

I did not know he chucks! But the above discussion makes me interested to look at his action, anyone has a video?

There are some doubts on his action

I wont be surprised if he gets reported

I made a thread on his actions and mods deleted it for some unknown reasons

DR: Nauman On PTV sports mentioned that he might be chucking when he first played I guess against Srilanka!

Imad is much better then any spin bowling all-rounder in world cricket right now.

Santner is miles better, actually spins the ball and a better lower order hitter.

Every single time I've seen Imad and Santer bat they've looked like glorified tai lenders

Santner is a very good T20 bowler, very difficult to hit.

santner is a far better player skillfully. Imad has just not developed as a player...

They are both decent bowlers in LOI's and nothing really with the bat, although I have not seen much of Santner so can not say much about him.

Santner ahead at the moment and people have been calling for Imad to be dropped from the side.
