Overall, I think SL have the slightly better batting side & NZ much deeper batting and stronger bowling overall.

SL would win in the Subcontinent & the Windies, and NZ would win anywhere else.

Since NZ's batting is deeper, with better allrounders and they have the much better pace attack of Hadlee, Bond, Mills, Cairns & Vettori, I think NZ is the slightly better side overall for all conditions.

What are your elevens and who wins?

Lankans batting line up is too strong, I'll back them to win. Don't see that kiwi batting line up doing well vs Murali.

Yet you see SL doing well against Hadlee & Bond?

There's 5 atg Oneday greats from both sides as I see it

NZ's bowling is far stronger overall. Check Hadlee, Bond & Vettori's one day bowling records again. And Kyle Mills

Like I said SL batting is stronger, NZs batting is deeper and NZ have the better bowling attack

If Sanath could come of than yes I'll back Lankans to win. NZ bowling is strong but they traditionally struggle vs spin so Murali would cause them problems.

On a greenish pitch, maybe NZ would edge it but anywhere else I'll back Sri Lanka

Sl will surely win in SL. NZ should win in Aus and NZ. I will give an edge to SL in other Asian venues. Venues like SA & WI will depend on nature of pitch we are talking. In general, NZ should have advantage in SA and SL should have advantage in WI.

It depends on Pitch .

If it is flat track or spin Lanka likely to win.

If there is something for pacers , NZ will win.

2-1 to either side.

SL will win all matches if they are played in Asia or on flat tracks. The batting is just too strong.
