Trajectory and Speed as well as Yasir Shah bowled at the stumps in his Lord's masterclass in 2016 - but is it that simple?

He’s slowed down so he is learning the art of leg-spin.

But he needs to master, absolutely master, the leg-break.

Tests are all about contests within a contest and a good leg-spinner must think atleast two overs ahead.

I saw that he slowed it down considerably which is good. Bit of loop and drift would make him perfect if he can land it on a spot consistently. My only criticism has been he looks very impatient for a leggy and tries too many variations without enough control.

Thankfully you are not the selector or coach of pakistan .it is not uae it is england spinless wicket and btw he still picked 2 crucial wicket so i don.t know what you are on about .i know pandya is superstar for you but fahim is doing perfect job for us he batted very well and picked a wicket on a beauty against bairstow in 1st inning

He's got a long way to go establish himself as the primary spinner. If Yasir has 4-6 years of high level cricket left, that should be ample time for Shadab to develop

He needs to learn to loop and drift his leggies. He has slowed down his pace and not over using the googly, which are good signs. He has improved since his debut Test against the WI and he is still a work in progress.

Yasir was fully developed when he made his debut. So unfair to compare the two.

There's no comparison, Shadab is an allrounder and his utility is much higher than Yasir's. No reason why both can't play in the same team. Strictly as a bowler he can be developed - already has a better googly compared to Yasir

Stop whining man. I just put whatever I saw. It was my opinion. One was a terrible batsman and other was a dolly but batsman hitting it directly to the fielder.

He's only 19, doubt any world class leggie was perfect at such a young age. Moreover, legspin is one of the hardest to master, so we should be more patient with Shadab than we should when judging a young specialist batsman or fast bowler as their potential is easier to unlock sooner.

I don't think Shadab should be playing Tests regularly yet as he isn't fully ready, however he should be around the test squad and the setup that Yasir has had to improve his skill level, after all, it's always better to learn from the best. The world is his oyster at age 19 and he can become a bonafide mainstay of Pakistani cricket over the next 15 years if he keeps his head down and stays disciplined and focused on improving all the aspects of his game.
