I'm not in UK,, if you ask for 16 straight evenly spaced grains willow from any huge brand i have no doubt it will cost close to 350-400£ but i got this willow for just 175£

Cheers for sharing mate! I was once very close in getting a Solitaire bat back when they were sold for £100 but things didn't work out so I couldn't buy it.

They are absolutely amazing bat and probably best bat for its value. For that price you don't get a GM 808 which is Grade 2 so they are brilliant.

Mate can you tell us more about them? How is the ping and pickup on both?

Also what weight did you ask for first 16 grains one? :)) I know Roger end up making few oz heavier than asked :))

How does ping compare to your other bats? (By the way which other bats do you have if you don't mind me asking? :20: )

I agree, that looks brilliant!

Even the second one is not bad, I like look of that too!

Is it me but bats seem to be a bit dry no?

Glad to hear from you CD,,,, Ping is one of the best i have come accros pick up is decent,,,I have Gray-Nicolls Legend,,,I had CA Plus T.R.D,,I have Salix Pod Performance & Solitaire,, if you take bat stickers off from these willows and use each one of them you will find it quiet hard to choose best one,,, quiet often people go for brand rather then quality itself,,,solitaire might not give you great finish exactly the weight you want but it will provide nice ping/performance,,,,The bat with pink grip looks dry willow cause i used some sand paper but its moisture is 11%,,

How is Salix Pod Performance? I rate Salix bats very high and I believe they are amazing quality bats and perform exceptionally well! Hows your Legend serving you?

That is very true, I am guilty of that charge and do that too! I sometime buy a bat because of brand but then we don't have option of testing plain bats out so we go with brand stickers because we get assurance that they will be good.

Ah okay that is brilliant, I'm sure Rogers make brilliant bats.

How do you compare Solitaire to your Salix?

Also if you don't mind me asking which softs do you use?

Aero softs are the best,,, I use Aero P1 Pads/Aero P1 GLoves Aero P1 Strippers & Albion NXT Helmet,,,
Salix is really good i would say 15% better ping then soliatire but it cost me twice much more(290£),,,, gray nicolls have alot of wood but feels quiet light,,,10-15% better ping then Solitaire & cost me 385£,,,i'm sure if i use any of these willows as i have and without looking at them i won't know which one i'm using cause the performance difference is quiet low,,,

I was close to buying one of them as they are quite local to me.The bats are beautifully balanced with nice rebound qualities. The things that put me off were them being slightly above my weight range and elsewhere I read the handle not being good. However my opening partner picked up a solitaire for 50 quid from one of our club member and it goes like a good one. Iam not keen on the stickers though. The weight was less than 2lb 10oz and no issues with the handle.

Ah okay, I see :).

It would be brilliant if you can post pictures of your Salix :)

I once heard handles were from Asia hence they were weak :(

Not a fan of the stickers. Price wise they are good value if you use heavy bats. I still can't work out why he can't make a light bat. He's been pod shaving for a long time.

I will post Salix & GN Legnd Bat pics once i get it,,,, since its offseason here the are in clubs ground(safe & warm),,,will also add a video of my Solitaire bat(using it in nets)

Looks very nice!

How is the handle?

Do they have better pickup than your other bats?

I look forward seeing your other bats too!
