Sourav Ganguly appointed BCCI President

Former Indian cricketer and member of the 1983 World Cup winning team Roger Binny is likely to be the next BCCI President replacing Sourav Ganguly as per the sources in BCCI. The former pacer Roger Binny is said to be the frontrunner to replace Ganguly as the BCCI president and Jay Shah is expected to continue as the BCCI secretary.

Roger Binny's name appeared on the BCCI's Draft Electoral Rolls (put up on the BCCI website) for the October 18 elections and the Annual General Meeting as a representative of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) on Thursday instead of KSCA secretary Santosh Menon. All these led to speculation of former seamer being the frontrunner for the post of BCCI President.

Seems like the names Sourav and Binny are just title holders and Jay Shah being the main guy passing orders.

I think it’s pretty obvious Ganguly,Dravid , Dhoni,Gauti or Rohit,Kohli all are sly politicians some on the face some behind the back.

Very few great cricketers generally wanted India to win:
Kapil, Sachin seem the only ones who were victim of politics but still played for the team.

2023 edition of Indian Premier League is an unforgetful season for Delhi Capitals as they finished at the second-last position in the points table.

Australian star Ricky Ponting, who is also head coach of the DC, is set to be replaced by former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, who re-joined the DC as Director of Cricket in the IPL 2023 earlier this year.

According to reports in Sangbad Pratidin, a Bengali media outlet, Ganguly is all set to replace Ponting for the men's team head coach's position. He will also be addressing his role as Director of Cricket at the franchise.

In 2015, Ponting won the IPL title with the five-time champions as head coach and joined the DC squad in 2018. For the first time in the history of the IPL, Delhi will reach the final in 2020. Then, in 2021, DC finished at the top of the points table but lost both qualifier matches. But since the last two seasons, DC has failed to showcase its magic. In 2022, DC finished in the fifth position, whereas in 2023, DC sat at the ninth position on the points table.

Dada has always been pro Asia he is from Dalmiya school of thought.

Every successful Indian cricket captain has contributed in a different way to Indian cricketer:
Pataudi, Kapil, Sourav, Dravid, Dhoni, Kohli and now Rohit , I as a fan I’m grateful for that stability.

ganguly is the OG of indian cricket, catalysed their transformation, he is being diplomatic, but its obvious he doesnt rate any of the modern Pakistani players.

pak have not had anyone with his mental strength for a few decades now. a lack of education has hindered Pakistan cricket a lot.
