South Africa (205/5) thrash Bangladesh (101) by 104 runs in Group 2 encounter

5 overs done. Doesn't matter if rain comes now. South Africa have nowhere to hide hehehheh!
 
Anrich nortje even bowls fast in test cricket.
He has got amazing endurance.
Very strong fast bowler.
 
Shanto experiment has to end. He hasn’t been taken his chances not one innings with decent strike rate, no 50s. He looks uncomfortable there, not a opener. International T20 is too quick for him. Middle order batsman for future but right now has to step aside.

Soumya Sarkar is flashy but hasn’t done much in t20s international but he has big shots. BD has to persist with him I guess no other options.
 
Speeds should always be shown in the graphics. No need for stupid ball by ball thing, win probability etc
 
The Fizz is useless sena conditions. About time BD team realise that and play Ebadot Hossain who is the fastest bowler in BD.

Hard length is the key. First over Rabada bowled length balls. Once they adjusted their line and length BD couldn't handle

Win probability is the stupidest thing ever. If you need to ask “who’s winning??” After every few overs, probably shouldn’t be watching the game.
 
Pakistan vs south africa is gonna be extremely difficult.
I don't see Pakistan winning against them.

He should be kicked out after 2023 WC.

Another game with a definite result. Only 2 games without a result so far.

This has been a quality world cup so far. Standard of cricket has been higher than all past world cups

Mosadek. Can only do well against associates. Most of these players need cricket education to understand T20 format, match and game awareness. Liton just hit 4 and he is set, give him the strike back. Play yourself in. No rocket science. IQ is so low!

Sydney pitch is a road. A number of rain out are a big let down and empty stadiums are equally dull in Australia.

2007 and 2009 were far better, 2009 certainly was the best, as is any cricket experience in England. Its great seeing houseful in English stadiums where majority support/cheer both teams which makes it quite exciting to watch.
 
Bangladesh were out of the game once SA went pass 180. BD needed to make sure get as close to the target and dont suffer on NRR.
 
This is just embarrassing batting! No game plan, no idea how to bat in t20s by some of these. This Nurul does jack sh.. but finds himself in the side. I believe he is the vice captain too.

Absolutely clueless. Shakib arguing and leaving instead of referring. Das stat padding to tell his friends that he scored a 50 against SA in AUS. He will later take a selfie with Rabada with Sydney stands in the background. The rest slogging. Bangladesh should learn from Ireland , Namibia and others.

Why are you guys talking about the NRR? Their NRR is completely irrelevant unless Pakistan have a washed out game against Holland or Ban.
 
Absolutely disgraceful by bang. We were pathetic in the last decade but still managed to win Asia cup, semi-final of T20 WC 2014, Champions trophy. GOD knows what will happen when shakib etc will retire.

Epic thrashing. Biggest defeat for BD in T20I’s. Comfortable win by SA who look good.
 
Two things we might not see in our life time. BD winning LOI match in NZ (forget Aus as BD never plays there), and BD beating SA in T20s.

Records fall on Rilee Rossouw's big day

Rilee Rossouw was in an aggressive mood against Bangladesh and his second T20I century helped South Africa post a big total of 205/5 at the SCG.

While it was the biggest team total achieved so far at the T20 World Cup 2022, Rossouw's knock also broke a handful of individual records on a day where the left-hander was in scintillating touch.

Rossouw became the first South Africa player to score a century at a T20 World Cup and his innings of 109 was the fifth largest in the history of the event.


Dynamic duo impress with mammoth stand

Rossouw was in devastating form as he hit seven fours and a whopping eight massive sixes and his 163-run partnership with Quinton de Kock was the catalyst for South Africa's huge score.

De Kock's innings was slow and steady in comparison, but the South Africa opener looked in excellent touch too as he added 63 from just 38 deliveries to continue his fast start to the tournament.

If Rossouw and de Kock can continue this kind of form then South Africa are going to prove a force to be reckoned with in Australia.


Nortje overshadows Rabada as quicks play their part

Speedster Anrich Nortje picked up two Bangladesh wickets in his first over and bowled with supreme pace to finish with career-best figures of 4/10.

Spinner Tabraiz Shamsi (3/20) collected his own three-wicket haul, while pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada (1/24) managed just one wicket from three decent overs.

Rabada did play his part though with a superb piece of fielding late in proceedings as he threw down the stumps from close range to dismiss Hasan Mahmud.


Back to the drawing board for Bangladesh

Not much went right for the Asian side, with only Mustafizur Rahman (0/25) able to keep South Africa's scoring rate down and then Litton Das (34) the sole batter to make any impression during the chase.

Much of Bangladesh’s good work from their victory over the Netherlands is undone with the loss, given their net run rate took a huge hit following the disappointing performance.

The good news is they are still in the mix for a semi-final berth, but would likely need to win their remaining three matches - against Zimbabwe, India and Pakistan - to have any chance of progressing.
