Pakistan will do well on bowling pitches where you can't score more than 150, like the UAE. That's their wheelhouse. You give this team a pure batting pancake, they will lose 9 games out of 10. That's why I'm expecting a first round exit in world cup T20 in Australia. Those pitches will expose both the batters and the bowlers.
I think Pakistan fans can hold their heads high! Not too many teams give that good of a fight chasing 190+ score. It would have been way too easy to throw in the towel when the asking rate was 12+, but they fought on. Easy to focus on results, but see the fight they showed.
Just watched the highlights. Given the batting depth we had, we should have won this. Our so called power hitters are very predictable and have not developed alternative hitting areas once the opposition has done their homework on them.
+1Yeah it was a close game. Who knows if Hasan shot had travelled few meters more things could have been interesting. But for me losing point was when Baber and Talat played 2-3 overs without boundaries.
To be honest, if Malik's dolly catch was taken SA would have won comfortably by a good margin and the match would not go to final over.
Faf Hendrik ×2 Morris Miller Shamsi Phelko are their regular players.. South Africa fielded a rookie side and came up trumps
