South Africa finish Day 1 at 82/3 after Pakistan posted 211 in the first innings of the first Test match

Rabada got more bounce and more inconsistent bounce than any bowler so far, including Jansen.

Vastly underrated bowler, it amazes me how he is not talked about enough, maybe we will just before it’s too late. It took some time for people to appreciate Steyn as well. I guess part of the problem is the large amount of T20 cricket which is prioritised, back in the day this would be a three match Test series, Rabada doesn’t have enough time to create a few bunnies here like Steyn did with Hafeez.

Shami bowled his best - 2023 World Cup after transplant. Rohit also started batting with monster intent after getting one or two .

After a few , even :inti should try for a comeback

Shami surprised me with his bowling in the WC, wasn’t he out the team for a while ? he looked fresh and it appeared he had put in the work behind the scenes and was just waiting to strike, any other bowler would have run themselves into the ground, not like Shami was a spring chicken ?

Good hair definitely has an overall positive impact on your personality and confidence. Hairloss before 40 is a serious blow to your overall self-esteem which negatively affects every facet of your life to an extent.

Nobody dare mention fast bowlers with hair transplants without talking about the great Rana Naveed Ul Hassan, it got him a country contract towards the back end of his career.
This was the days before T20 leagues got big. Poor Rana could still only afford the back of his head.

Was bald upfront but mullet at the back

Not enough pace in this Pakistan line-up. It's not everything and Paterson picked up a fifer bowling 125kph but still need something a little different. Hamza is not different class to Abbas but offers the left arm angle and has played quite a bit of test cricket in the last 12 months. Shocker of a call to pick Abbas ahead of him.

Ultimately, Pakistan invested a lot in Babar and Shaheen and they are the ones letting them down. They are competing hard but getting over the line is different gravy.

why not go for better fitness? Look at build of Bumrah. Compare it to Bumrah of 2016. Miles better even though Bumrah has been Injured a lot but he has nt given up his pace
I've said this for ages that Pakistanis aren't athelets and neither do they consume food that athelets do.

They are too far invested into the Pak /SA cuisine and can't resist the biryani nihaari paaye etc;

the level for County cricket is very low now days. If Abbas is getting wicket after wicket there with this pace.

He focussed more on gym work I think. Cut down on the running.

Feel for Abbas. He was done as an international bowler 5 years ago. His lack of pace hurts Pakistan fans but he was exceptional for those 8-10 tests. Deserves to be remembered fondly for that instead of being bullied here.

Btw, this is how Asif would have fared too if he had a longer career.

Naseem can't even pepper them with short stuff as he just hasn't got the pace and doesn't bend his back to get some extra bounce off the wicket.

That's been the story since his injuries were so bad and he kept playing through and now this is the result of it.

There are countless bowlers in Islamabad that bowl faster than this guy.

When I played age group cricket, I clocked faster than this Mo Abbas.

I really struggle to understand what this slow bowling offers other than just gifts for the opposition.

We need a strong tall 6'2+ who can bowl 140+

That should be the minimum standard. Worry about the accuracy later.

Playing a test in SA and we field a village pace attack.

When Ihsanullah broke out, it was my dream to see him bowl in SA

Wasted opportunity. Ruined by T20 cricket

Picking Abbas appears to be a backward step now but come on, we all thought he would effective in his first spell. Lets see how he goes for the remainder of the match before getting the big chakku out.

Abbas rightly getting criticised but what's this pedestrian fare from Naseem ?

Harmless back of a length deliveries comfortably negotiated. Can't recall a single play and miss from SA batter.

Both Naseem and Shaheen have selfishly regressed into being medium pacers to prolong their careers instead of following a tough fitness Regime. Both of these reek of unprofessionalism

He had the potential to be Pakistan’s Morne Morkel, iA he is able to rise above the tyranny of the current regime just like Saim

To begin with, he needs to get his head out the backside of people who he thinks are the greatest cricketers in history. You should watch his podcast/interview he did recently to understand his thought process. The guy has a really poor thought process
