High drama tonight with one of the most incredible comebacks in Pakistan domestic cricket history.

So Southern Punjab lost their first four matches and looked absolutely hopeless. They were dead and buried.

They had a tiny glimmer of hope going into this final group game of the National T20 Cup vs Balochistan but had a massive Net Run Rate deficit.

Somehow they managed to chase 162 in a mere 12.3 overs. Hats off to Sohaib Maqsood and Aamer Yamin who finished it off. An incredible fightback and SP have some momentum going into the semi-finals.

Epic chase .Excellent batting from sohaib and clinical finish from aamer yamin

Extraordinary stuff from SP. Made it to the semi finals out of nowhere. I doubt anybody including most players in SP squad expected that. Definitely the biggest come back I can remember in Pakistan domestic cricket.

Absolutely brilliant! Wonderful achievement for Southern Punjab. In terms of entertainment, Southern Punjab's batting comes top of the list along with Northern. The tournament has become really open and competitive.
Looking forward to the semifinals and the final.

I think, few years back in PAK cup some team chased like 300+ inside 40 overs to make a KO or such and I’m that game also Maqsood made a 76 ball 107 or so.

iirc Netherlands once chased 190 in 13 odd overs against Ireland in a T20 WC. This reminded me of Neth vs Ireland match.

What even lol.
That was insane. Did not expect them to qualify AT ALL. They had been pretty bad throughout. What an incredible comeback.

Crazy hitting and in the end they did it quite easily.

Just goes to show what is possible in the shorter formats if you really go for it.

I want the anti corruption officials to look at this match. The bowling was unbelievably ordinary to the point of suspicion. Any match where a batting unit scores 160 runs in 10 overs needs to be looked into.

Why didn't the Pakistan team try these tactics in the Bangladesh game in the 2019 ODI WC? Sarfaraz was one over rated captain and Mickey Arthur was an over rated coach.

that game was lost when pak chose to bat first, was a shocking decision, the fear of losing to bangla chasing chickened pak out of putting them in and trying to obliterate the chase. management didnt get enough blame for that farce.

Misbah and the team management at the time of Maqsood debut have blood on their hands....

Maqsood became grossly out of shape and lost his ability to bat.. he has no one to blame but himself for his ouster but great to see him back in form now.. sadly he’s pushing up on 34 years old so doesn’t make sense to recall him

What an incredible chase well done to Punjab no one expected you to win like that so credit to you also great knock by maqsood under achieved in his career

Shan enhanced his reputation without facing a ball!

Good to see Aamir Yamin get a chance to showcase his batting ability.
