They no longer have solid Test batters like Pujara. The new guys don't seem as capable in Test format as previous generation. This is the T20 generation I guess.

I meant Bumrah and his support team.
He can't play every series. He's an asset that must be deployed in the biggest matches. I don't understand why BCCI doesn't create a special A+++ contract enabling him 4X the remuneration of a regular A category player given what he brings to the table is 4X value of any other player in the team. He's worth his wait in Emarald's for BCCI.

He can't play every series. He's an asset that must be deployed in the biggest matches. I don't understand why BCCI doesn't create a special A+++ contract enabling him 4X the remuneration of a regular A category player given what he brings to the table is 4X value of any other player in the team. He's worth his wait in Emarald's for BCCI.

The problem with india is that out of the big 5 (India + Sena) it is the least talented country when it comes to bowling talent.

In terms of batting talent it is by far the best or 2nd best debatable with Australia since its inception but in terms of bowling talent it is by far the worst.

Bumrah is a massive outlier for india, a bowler whos essentially in the realm of Mcgrath, Marshall, and many others. But by this logic mcgrath and Marshall and many others should have been given a similar treatment.

Let's not turn him into heel brock lesnar who renamed Raw into Monday Night raw Staring brock lesnar, started riding in private jets and got full rights to override everyone's orders including Vince Mcmahon

Reddy is not a test level bowler, sooner we understand better for us and jadeja will be not much effective so basically we left with Only three bowling options which is not good at all .

We need four proper Pacers + Jadeja against bazball cricket .

Prasidh is useless. He does not swing the ball. He will be a flop in England. Arshdeep is a must.

Bumrah camp? Im not a part of bumrah camp. Im neutral and I actually like the indian team but their some irritating pests that I have to deal with on a daily basis which is why I say certain things I dont mean to them.

Anyway back to topic, any moron can tell that a guy who had a back injury which caused him to miss out for 2 entire years of playtime Including wtc final simply cause of indian mangament running him into the ground and then this followed by another back injury which forced him to skip out on CT due to overdoing it in BGT is clearly an injury prone canon

And hence cannot play a 5 match test series for obvious reasons.

5 match tests are gruelling for even the fittest bowlers like James Anderson, Starc, Brett Lee, Mcgrath etc etc who have gotten injured numerous times in the past.

Why would an injury prone Bumrah escape this fate?

Like wise mate...you defo ai'nt neutral plus you don't happen to throw though provoking explosions of great insights or come up smelling of roses each time you post here...coming back to the topic - strongly detect wish ful thinking on your part viv-a vis JazzBoom's injury- and your're trying to pass off as some soothsayer who saw the future or an expert of injuries- both of which your are not - so come off the high horse , will ya?
As an indian fan i'd say we'll struggle to take 20 wkts each time we go out, Arshdeep is a pop gun 125kmh railoo katta who is at is best in helpful conditions in T20's where batsmen have no choice but to attack him, But - in tests , where batsmen have all the time - he's toast halwa on ice...much like the animal harvest roadkill on the Delhi-Noida - Yamuna expressway - totally useless.
Shardul is a better bet than Arshdeep more so when you throw in his batting ability but i feel indian selectors have beentoo conservative to select the T&TFs like him and gone back to the past, siraj's best days are probably behind him, Prasidh does not look to give the control that Ishant once gave the indian team.
Selectors have not selected any youngster for the future -when it comes to the bowling department - pathetic!
Much to the delight of the 'locals' here, i feel if we come out of this series any better than 0-3, we've done pretty well. Can't see us making the WTC finals this cycle, and if we do not invest right - starting now...sorry to sound pessimistic to my fellow indian fans - we will be struggling in red ball cricket.
