He has forgotten that he is just a wicket keeper. Don’t cross the captain!
 
Perfect game. The team got a wake up call but Haris and Hasnain showed that both of them can stand on their own without Naseem or Shaheen to back them up. Nawaz continuing his good form is also a plus.

How can a clown antic be allowed to cross the captain like this on the field? It’s not a joke. PCB need to hold a disciplinary!

What is wrong with you? Rizwan was suggesting a review and the umpire forgot who the captain was. How is this on anyone but the umpire?

Terrible batting by Pakistan and they lose this match.. SRi lanka who no one thought would make the final won all its games in the super 4
 
This is more like world T20 last year. Australia got canned by England. They looked hopeless. Suddenly out of the blue. Few toss wins they won the trophy.

Well deserved for Sri Lanka. Pakistan not at the races today, looked hopeless on a reused pitch. Hoping we'll show up for the final.

Came to the match thread and all it is is the usual posters trolling each other and those poor enough to fall for it.
[MENTION=2016]Rana[/MENTION] watching the match intently waiting for Rizwan to make a mistake so he can abuse him and get the attention he wants. A precedent set by mamoon unfortunately.
 
Asif and ifti have no chance there..I am afraid Pakistan middle order is in shambles.
All three ifti,khushdil and asif are hacks ..
Shahdab and Nawaz are better then them

Yeah and Nawaz showed it wasn't that hard to bat here. Plus we had Hasan "matchwinner" Ali and Usman "fulltoss" Qadir.
Imagine If we had Naseem and Shadab instead.

No surprise really. You can't keep on relying on the same players to perform match after match.
 
Khushfil,Asif and Chacha Ifti should be no where near Pakistan team.There are plenty of options to replace them. Shaan Masood,Azam Khan,Haider Ali and Kamran Ghulam are all better than these hacks.

Hasan is not the same bowler as he was a few years back.Pakistan should have given someone like Arshad Iqbal or Sameen Gul a chance.They have similar pace as Hasan but they are tall and hit the deck hard.Hasan with his height and pace is not going to trouble batsmen on UAE pitches.
 
Can Pakistan take a risk and go with Shaheen,Naseem,Rauf and Hasnain in T20 WC in Australia.If they can find two solid batsmen then it may be possible.Ifti,Khudhdil and Asif should be dropped.Playing for T20 WC

Pakistan should've judged the wicket a little better and played sensibly to get a total of 140 or so, and we would've had a good match, definitely. Anyway, I wouldn't take this defeat too seriously, given the number of important players that were rested today by Pakistan.

Bring it on on Sunday! Here's hoping for a cracker of a match!
 
Definitely among the top 3 worst T20 batting performances that I have seen from Pak. 120 is not the issue, the issue is how the approached the game. They weren't bothered AT ALL! Babar was the worst of the lot. Playing almost maiden overs in the middle of the innings without a fuss.

You can't treat Pak matches like your practice games - people have paid money to watch these. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Hope we don't get to see this filth in the final.

@Saj, this was different that our typical batting failure. Not a single batsman was willing to show intent. How much content they were with playing dot balls was baffling - they weren't even trying!

Babar, after the strong start, just started batting practice! Fakhar, Iftikhar, Kushdil... all were so content with striking it at less than run a ball. All this happened when Pakistan had several wickets in hand!

Just absolutely baffling!
 
In a dress rehearsal before the final, Sri Lanka and Pakistan played out a low-scoring affair in Dubai with Sri Lanka completing a five-wicket win to end the Super Four phase of Asia Cup 2022 on a high.

Sri Lanka managed to dismiss Mohammad Rizwan early, debutant Pramod Madushan scalping his maiden wicket in T20Is. Babar Azam, fighting a string of low scores in the tournament, ambled along to a run-a-ball 30, but was cleaned up Wanindu Hasaranga in the 11th over.

By then, Pakistan had already lost Fakhar Zaman and the scoring rate hadn't picked up. Mohammad Nawaz added some flair to the innings with some lusty blows towards the end, but Hasaranga, who picked up the wickets of Babar, Iftikhar Ahmed and Asif Ali, had wreaked havoc in the middle overs.

Pakistan ended up with 121 on board, far from a fighting total, but the new ball bowlers did their best to bring Pakistan back into the contest.

A terrific Powerplay for Pakistan quicks

Mohammad Hasnain and Haris Rauf took the new ball, a move that injected high pace early on with the new ball. Hasnain sent back Kusal Mendis with a cracking delivery that squared the batter up and too the edge in the first over.

Rauf followed up with the wicket of Danushka Gunathilaka, the left-handed batter slashing at a wide one to nick behind the wicket, where Rizwan took a splendid catch. Rauf wreaked more havoc in the Powerplay, sending back Dhananjaya de Silva, to leave Sri Lanka at 29/3.

Nissanka leads Sri Lanka's fightback

Nissanka, who now leads Sri Lanka's run charts in Asia Cup 2022, strung together a crucial stand with Bhanuka Rajapaksa to lead Sri Lanka's recovery. Rajapaksa took a liking to leg-spinner Usman Qadir, smashing him for three sixes across three overs. However, Qadir had the last laugh when the southpaw miscued a slog sweep to the fielder in the deep.

Nissanka, meanwhile, dropped anchor, compiling his fifty in 41 balls, and playing some sublime strokes. Skipper Dasun Shanaka added some momentum to the Sri Lanka innings, making a quickfire 16-ball 21 before falling with Si Lanka needing less than 10 runs to win.

The win will be a major boost for Sri Lanka ahead of the final between the same teams at the same venue on Sunday.

Not sure who was humiliated more - you or the Pakistan team.
 
The performance of Pakistan was just disapointing in this match. We did not saw any agressation from the players of Pakistan. Pakistan made some unwanted changes by imcluding Hasan Ali and Usman Qadir in the final playing 11. We mentioned in today match prediction of this match that Pakistan will lost this match. We knew that Pakistan will change their final playing 11. We think Fakhar Zaman need some rest and should improve his batting skills. We are sure that Pakistan will not repeat the mistakes in the final of Asia Cup 2022 against the same team, Sri Lanka.

This game was a dead rubber. So, loss is not a big deal.

Pakistan got to test out bench strength and rest some of their main players.
