Sri Lanka (174/4) beat India (173/8) by 6 wickets in Match 3 of the Super 4s - Asia Cup 2022

Poor decision by the umpire. There is no way he can give it out as he would not be sure which way the ball is going to spin.
But he was proven right in the end, wasn't he?

Not right call. It was umpire's call in the end. You cannot give a batsman out when he is half way down the pitch and the ball hits the pad flush.

He gave him out because it hit him on the full which means the umpire must assume the ball is going to go straight on. So a decent call in the end.

Virat Kohli gone.
Big wicket.
Dilshan madushanka seems like a very good bowler in making
A left armer, tall, can swing the ball, good pace as well.
Hopefully srilanka manages him well.

You don't knbow which way the ball is going to turn after it pitches. He was hit on the pad flush and Rahul was way down the pitch.

Umpire made a bad call and it happens. Umpire simply got sucked under the pressure.

What the hell is Virat doing? The ugliest shot I have ever seen him play.

No he didnt the rule is he must assume the ball is going to go straight on if it hit the batsman on the full.

The body language of indian team isn't look good today.

It's been a trend whenever they enter a pressure match. The writing is on the wall wrt. Kohli, Rahul etc but they will score a 30 or 50 in some random matches, their social media fans will go berserk, and then they come to press conferences announcing how great they are. Kohli has had a kind of documentary made by star sports on his batting struggles , imagine that!

Is India getting knocked out already like the T20 World Cup last year?

Rohit Sharma the biggest flat track bully's favourite team is srilanka.
He is gonna maul them badly.

India is trying too hard to force a cultural change. If you want to play like England, get guys that hit the ball hard. Instead, Rohit is trying to turn Virat into Jos Butler. Just let Virat be Virat.

That was a good decision. :inti

Even Hawkeye would not know how the ball is going to spin if it hits the pad flush. Hawkeye only goes by the trajectory if the ball does not pitch.

Umpire pulled this out of his behind and in the end it was umpires call even with only trajectory taken into account.

One more wicket in the powerplay and India will most likely lose this

99%

If Sri Lanka win this, they should go to final.

That's Pakistan vs SL final then (most likely).

Even if SL lose this, they can make it to final if they win next game (Pakistan).

You watch some of his internationals before. You are just talking nonsense.
LOL i have watched enough of him in international cricket

He averages only 35 in test cricket after playing so many matches.

In ODIs he averages 45(which is very good) and he has only played 43 innings

In t20is he averages very good 38 but he seems to miss on big occasions.

He is a talented player but he is not that strong mentally.

India are rattled just like they were vs NZ last wc after the pakistan game.

They dropped their best bowler from last game Ravi Bishnoi and kept Axar Patel out who has been in such good form whenever he has played.

What's more, KL as usual goes early and they are already 2 Down

Well well well ... Good luck winning this one.

Rahul is most overrated batsman in international cricket.

I have a feeling we may see India, Pakistan, and SL all come down to 4 points each. So, NRR may come into play.

Sri Lanka's T20 team doesn't look much bad.

They have some good hitters. Good spinners. Only pace department is a bit weak.

But he was proven right in the end, wasn't he?

If it didn't pitch, hawkeye will not know how much it will spin. So it only took trajectory into account. Even with that it was umpires call. If it spins even half a degree, the ball would miss the stumps comfortably. Umpire gave it to the bowler after that loud appeal.

India has enough depth in batting here

Hehe it appears that way until it gets tested. It's like the ones who aren't in the team always appear to be better than those playing until they play the next match and the new benched ones look better.

Great toss win for Sri Lanka.

Can't see India defend anything less than 170.

The 2-3 commentators on air within the first 6 overs including Wasim, Sanju Manju have predicted par score from 150 to 180, and people think they are some great analysts. They are as clueless as the rest of us as par score in itself means nothing.

What's the par score according to you?

I think 170-180 is par here. So, they are not wrong.

Already 16 dots in this innings and we are not yet into 7th over.

SKY struggling against quality bowling yet again.

If SL win today and Pakistan beat Afghans tomorrow, both India and Afghans are out.
