No, Haturu isn't inexperienced. He became the coach of UAE in 2005. Then he became the coach of Sri Lanka A. After that he was appointed as an assistant coach for the Sri Lanka team. Then he became batting consultant for Canadian team for world cup. He has also been an assistant coach in Shield cricket and a coach in BBL.

I don't think its true and even if it was then it was not the major reason.

Selectors were like: Sabbir and Mosaddek can both be picked, but hey, Sabbir is banned from domestic cricket so let him play in the test side. Mosaddek can play domestics

They also went to India for 3 Tests and only lost 1-0. That's not too bad at all. Maybe things are on the up for them which is good to see.

wow. I know SL is not that bad a test side. But BD is generally good at home. This probably is a nightmare for BD fans as BD take one step forward then two steps backward.

I have to admire BD team as well, as we are heading towards "Giant" status out of minnow for the attitude shown here - playing on a 2.5 day wicket. Also, it's great to watch the height that our bowling has reached over a week - 20 wickets in 2 days (& 40 minutes) of a Test against 2nd best side of Asia shows the quality of the bowling - even IND failed to take more than 5 in 4 sessions last time, so it has to be the quality of bowling.

We have just achieved the "giant" status as a bowling unit (already shown that status as a mature Test nation by opting 2.5 day Test wicket), but batsmen had an off Test, which can happen even to the best - great days are coming for us with such a menacing bowling unit.
