You know things are getting weird when Sarfraz isn’t the worst player of the match.

We were never in the match at all. Should have batted first putting the runs on the board. Batting second in T20 Pak conditions is never a good choice, we move on.

Every team gets hurt by an insecure batsman who is trying to survive and save his position in the team. In our team, that player is our captain. Don’t know what else to say.

If Misbah and PCB still want to persist with Sarfraz, they should at least make sure that he does not bat at any position higher than number 8 so that he does not block the way of other batsmen who can get the job done.

While duck is bad but wasting 30 balls for 24 runs while chasing 166 is worse in my opinion.

Shameless useless pathatic. These words shld be synonyms with umar akmal. Such a shameful and gutter cricketer. Misbah shld be extremly ashamed of himself for doin this to the teams and the fans.

Sarfaraz is the main culprit followed by Fahim, Shehzad and Umar Akmal. Though Akmal just played 1 ball but should have done better.

Misbah is the one to blame. No doubt here, dropped the players in form who scored fifties in the odis fakhar, haris and gave chances to his buddies which cost them to lose the match against a second choice srilankan side.

How can one drop fakhar for a t20 when he is the only batsman who can score fast compared to others. Well done Misbah:salute

I refuse to watch any more games as long as sarfraz is the captain. The captain is supposed to lead by example and be one of the best players in the side but our captain is useless, he can't score nor can he keep wickets exceptionally. Dont get me started on the ttf legends...

Shabash misbah and co bringing back akmal ahmed shezade ... expected result ... the captain lacks backbone is a puppet thats why his still the captain

Sarfraz would not merit a place in any of the top 10 nations right now.

Actually correction - he wouldn't make the BENCH of any of the top 10 nations.

On the plus side, this SL victory made the series more alive and entertaining.

Pakistan should still win this 2-1.

Team selection was abysmal. No Haris Sohail, no Fakhar Zaman? Why?

On what basis do the likes of Shehzad and Faheem get to start over some of the guys on the bench

Umar Akmal used to make his fifties and sixties he's even regressed from that a nothing batsman

Nowadays he feels it an achievement to be named in the 16-member squad

Sri Lanka claimed their first victory of their tour of Pakistan, with Danushka Gunathilaka once again playing a starring role.

Having struck his second ODI century in the third ODI against Pakistan, the 28-year-old carried on his good form with a half-century at the top of the order, and this time his excellence contributed to a Sri Lankan victory. He struck eight fours and a six in his 38-ball knock before becoming the first wicket to fall, missing a sweep against Shadab Khan and being given LBW.

Gunathilaka's half-century was the highest score of the gameGunathilaka's half-century was the highest score of the game
It was Shadab who accounted for the next wicket to fall too, running out Gunathilaka’s opening partner Avishka Fernando with a direct hit from mid-off for a sedate 33-ball 34, and thereafter it was the Mohammad Hasnain show.

Playing just his second T20I, the Pakistani tearaway showed just why he’s held in such high regard, taking three wickets in three balls across two spells. Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who made a breezy 22-ball 32 on T20I debut, was pinned on the pads by a pinpoint yorker, skipper Dasun Shanaka holed out to long-on, and Shehan Jayasuriya was hurried for pace, splicing to Ahmed Shehzad in the covers.

His hat-trick, the ninth in men’s T20Is and the second by a Pakistani, hauled Sri Lanka back in at the end of their innings, and, having looked like they might breach 180 at one point, the tourists finished on 165/5.

When Babar Azam struck a couple of sweetly timed boundaries to kick-start the chase, it seemed the theme of Pakistan dominance, but a double-strike from Nuwan Pradeep changed the complexion of the contest. Babar nicked off before Umar Akmal, playing his first T20I in almost three years, fell LBW. Pradeep was unable to complete the hat-trick, but it wasn’t long until Shehzad chopped on to Isuru Udana to leave the hosts 22/3.

Sarfaraz Ahmed and Iftikhar Ahmed helped to rebuild, adding 46 for the fourth wicket, but the rate started to spiral, and by the time the next breakthrough came – Iftikhar run out after a mix-up – it had crossed 11 runs per over.

And there was to be no comeback, a collapse of 6/25 confirming Sri Lanka’s victory by 64 runs. Udana and Pradeep finished with three wickets each, while Wanindu Hasaranga claimed 2/20 in four over. The MRF Tyres No.8 ranked side had downed the world No.1 team on their home turf and taken a 1-0 lead in the series.

Relax guys. It's a bilateral mickey mouse T20 game, **** happens

Best captain since IK. It was all Mickey and Inzi fault. Now they aren’t there, his supporters will blame everyone else for his own failures.

Lol remember when we were told that we miss Sarfaraz captaincy in T20s. :))) :)))

Rubbish selections and sticking with a average captain, this is what happens.

Its part of the game. However, to improve as a whole with this young team we need to realize that Sarfaraz adds nothing to the team as a captain or as wicket keeper batsman. With already batting not being our strength we cant afford a free rider at no 4 or 5 as it really hurts the overall combination.

We need to play a lot more Cricket to improve in all formats. I see we are not playing anyone between the Aussie tour that finishes in early Dec to when we visit England in July next year. Can't improve when we don't play for six months at most times.

The biggest culprit is Misbah for tampering with an already good side by bringing in Akmal and Shehzad. Sarfaraz's inning also cost us and that run out of Ifti. Akmal and Shehzad cost us and so did Faheem.

Main Culprits: Misbah, Akmal, Shehzad, Sarfaraz and Faheem.

The early collapse brought down the curtains on the chase straight away. No way that this batting line-up was going to recover from that point. The match was done and dusted right there itself!

Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal in the top-order, or in the team in general, is a heavenly recipe for disaster. I hope that tasted nice!

Also, when is Asif Ali finally going to do something noteworthy for the national team?

Need to drop Shehzad, Akmal and faheem

These clowns won't make it to any other international 11, not even Afghanistan!

Yet they make their way back into the team. Expecting a mediocre 50 this series against a 2nd string Lanka, to cement their places.

Danushka Gunathilaka speaking in press conference

"Its not about luck, we played good cricket yesterday as young team and we are looking forward to tomorrow's game, we will come back hard again and I am sure we can win this series"

"I have said this earlier that hospitality was really nice and they have looked after us very well and its been amazing so far for us"

Pak need 2 play more criket....after world in July u play in late sept..... Then after early dec u play again in July.....u need 2 play at least a full tour in 2 months

Pakistan don't generally have many lengthy series, but there are quite a few series lined up.

After the SL series, Pakistan players will leave for Australia towards the end of this month. 2 Tests, 3 T20Is. The tour of Australia finishes in the first week of December.

After that, there are 2 Test matches against SL in December (in Pakistan or a neutral venue).

Then in Jan/Feb there's 2 Tests and 3 T20Is against Bangladesh, hosted by Pakistan.

Then PSL in Feb/Mar. After that's there's almost a 3 month gap until July, but after that Pakistan's schedule is packed from Jul 2020 to the end of 2021.

Mickey Arthur's Pakistan team never lost against this calibre of opposition in T20Is let alone by such a huge margin.

Hawkeye Major have been humbled once again.
