they have taken power play ? a little surprised ..... can they get 40-45 without loosing a wicket ?

they might still be watch full for 2-3 overs of pp !

Very smart move I would think, since their main bowlers have only few overs left and they would be used during this powerplay. That would leave mostly spin for the last couple of overs and would make it easier to slog...Also, it's beneficial, since both of them are good hitters of the ball and can take advantage of the pp...

no single there , another run out at wrong time...difference between 280 and 260 i guess !

Dhoni showing real sporting spirit there. Umpire might not have given that out.

So the entire Indian batting line had tali enders during the last series.

if you check , even in the last series he took out mostly the tail & yuvi !

and what about the test series?

you said last series , which means ODI's ...i meant only the tailenders dont pick him lately , which is exactly the case !

India got a good total on board and i recon they will win this game today.

this will be after a long time we are defending a smallish total ....we should win!
yeah, soemtimes its good to score a modest score and give the fielders and bowlers that impetus to perform a notch better

I have always thought Praveen Kumar is one of the most talented upcoming bowlers in India. I am sure he will do well here. His past performances have been excellent too.

And along with Zaheer and Ishant, who are excellent too, it makes the bowling attack really solid!

i think he chucks some times , but yeah ..who cares , when there are so many around !

An appeal for LBW. Jaya didn't show his bat to the umpire. Sachin disapproves.

Wow good slower ball. Beat Jaya all ends up. Jaya being lucky here.

Not chucking. Ian chappell explained in detail about it. That is a wrist position similar to that of Bob Massie.

Mahela might choose this occasion to come back to form. Going to be a stroll for Srilanka from here on.

Sangakkara gone. But still SL is on top i would think.
nah, match is in India's pocket now. Probably win by at least 30 runs if not more

if Sri Lanka beat Pakistan so badly by 234 runs and Sri Lanka themselves are getting their butts kicked by India... imagine how much damage India will inflict on Pakistan the next time they play each other :))) ;)

sure ? SL were never going to chase this one , if not for a jaya special .....SL are done and dusted , me thinks !

Jayawardene is a very overrated ODI cricketer. Effectively SL are four down. They will lose this easily.

I am used to thinking so negatively. It works for me :))

Wasssup jusarrived, Ironman, natalia...
Nice bowling by our boys... now its all on jayawardne to take it from here... if he goes, SL is done for

Tendulkar drops one at first slip. He was thereafter seen pointing to the umpire that the batsman had nicked the ball.
:)

EdgeMan that is what Srilankan fans call Jayawardane lol
By the same token Tendulkar should be called if-under-scrutiny-for-LBW-then-EdgeMan. :D

I think Zaheer has been unofficially appointed as bowling captain. Zak tookover the job of talking to pace bowlers from Dhoni.

Don't think any Indian will call him that. Probably Pakistan fans and RA can call him that :P. No problem.

They won't, would they?

They know it is nonsense to call him that. In my memory he has had the highest number of unfair decisions in his career with Ganguly running close.

Did tendu raise his bat? :13:

We all believe our favourite cricketer is always unlucky when it comes to umpiring decisions. So that's highly subjective. However, even if it was true, what has that got to do with defending him 'helping' the umpire on a selective basis?

I would argue that would qualify as nonsense.

He would have, if there was a bat in his hand. But as it was, he just pointed to the batsman's bat.

May be he felt there was a nick. It has happened before. Once happened to kaarthik. Looked like ball didn't touch the ball at all. Even snicko hardly showed a spike. But Karthik admitted he nicked it and accepted the decision.
We are the idiots who blow a normal reaction of a batsman way out of proportion. Tendulkar himself once walked out once without touching the ball thinking he touched the ball. So ..
