Rahul is not a test standard slip fielder and drops at least a catch or two in a inning in that position when placed. But he is pretty good at close catching positions, though.

God Ishant almost bowled another no-ball during that wicket.
 
No offense but the SL openers are like walking wickets ,i mean if you are getting out to Indian bowlers there is something defn wrong.
 
Unlucky Chandigarh. Given lbw when it was going way over the stump. SL have been very unlucky with the bat so far. One given out on a no ball and other given out when it was clearly mIssing stumps.
 
Mathews the key for Lanka. Dimuth is not looking very convincing, but will do well to partner the skipper in these tough times
 
SL team has just got rubbish. First they let India cross 300 from a position where they should have been bowled out around 200 and now bat like this.

Sanath desperately wants his selector job back, sounding more and more bitter since his resignation. Defended 5-0 loss to India and now he sounds furious lol.

Sometimes when you retire after a long stint in a professional environment, you can't cope up with the dull retirement life.

Happens a lot of times to many. Money ain't the issue in such cases.

this is too bad though.

I am sad for SL cricket. Already international cricket is weak.
 
I would rather India bats and sets a total.

This 4th innings batting is not hamaari bas ki baat.

No need to take risks.
 
India should not make Srilanka follow on. India should take Sanath Jayasuriya's advice. Last innings on this pitch both seamers and spinners will be effective. So set up a target for Srilanka to chase.
 
This pitch has deffo quickened up, if prasad is out of this match, it would be mighty blow to srilanka.
 
Sri Lanka should just take some wild whacks now and try to get the score to 125 by hook or by crook

Tharanga will be disappointed by the deision against him because of no ball and because now umpires always tend to check it an droot out such faults even without DRS.

With Chandimal there can be no complaints because it is part and parcel of game
 
Rahane is far more calm/safe hands for a slip catcher than this nervous fidgety Rahul. Why not have him there instead?

Rahane is not fidgety> He looks nervous even when he is on 100 runs. Always gives that vibe

Never rated Rahul highly, either as a slip fielder or opener. Just wished he would prove me wrong which he hasn't so far.

Rahane is a very safe slip catcher

Chandimal was given life by poor ump and went on to score a match winning hundred. Here instead of ump, Rahul has given kusal a life. I just hope its not a repeat of 1st test for us.

They actually did the exact same thing and Chandimal's innings was being called tullay baazi while it was going on.

Not surprised though. It's typical purist mentality. If it worked, we can't call it slogging, because we can't admit that slogging might work.

Kusal got one chance, Pujara got one as well (that too from umpire which is worse) and if people are going to write 190 post threads about Pujara it just shows the hypocrisy when they are not going to acknowledge Kusal's achievement because he played positively.

Loads of rubbish from Ashwin today - Too many deliveries which are short, flat, wide on both sides of the wicket
 
LOL Sri Lankan commentator saying their tail wagged with Kusal Perera scoring some runs. They are calling him a tailender!
 
India has had three decisions in their favor so far. All thee should have been not out.
