This may sound crazy but if younis stays for another hour I am calling 350+

what happened to misbah... he looks very thin... i believe this will affect his batting especially his power hitting sixes.. I doubt whether he can clear the fence ...

What's good for Pak at this point is Misbah getting out. This will create a difficult situation for Asad Shafiq in this innings and the entire batting line in the second innings.
The team will try to fight it out and develop resistance that will result in batting improvement.

Movement for SL seamers. Lets see if Junaid swings the ball here.

The Misbah hatred has got your heads (savak and you).

Pathetic.

Rain is expected throughout the match so the possibility of the pitch drying up is rare.

59 runs in 26 overs.

#TeamTukTuk :misbah

It's not like we save wickets this way either. We still lose wickets like we were taking chances after chances.

Pakistan are just making the hole their in bigger by not looking to score, maybe I'm being a bit harsh, maybe they're just not talented enough? :13:

This Pakistan bowling lineup looks thin. Lankans winning this by an innings looks like a good possibility unless Pakistan batting puts in a special effort.

Don't know why we batted first? Probably due to 2 spinners.

Shehzad has failed now, well I guess we're ready for a century from him. :misbah2

Poor stuff from pakistan!

Both openers getting out to inswingers just showed a complete lack of technic, AA to be fair got out to a good ball

59/3 and we are in a big hole, once again down to YK and Misbah to bail us out

Yeah, without Misbah we would be 250/1 after 30 overs.

Bowling, batting, fielding - every department looks thin!

Once YK and Misbah retire those 30/3 starts will probably become 40-5.

Are these types of sessions really new?
Not new but the problem is a test match consists of four inns and we aren't even half way into the first one so keep your knives down for the time being.

Can i burst your bubble?

Pakistan could end up losing everything from now to the Hobbits, but still when the Hobbits come, they will get thrashed and thrashed and sent back to Hobbitland with tails between their legs.

Your flaws are there for the world to see, mediocre pacers, batsmen and fielders - your only have 3 quality players all of whom are in the twilight of their careers, but go on, continue to live in denial.

300 is minimum they need to get on the board any they might get bowled out for around 200

Definitely Sri Lanka's session so far. Let's hope, it gets better for us in the next two sessions.

Yep, keep living in denial. Your flaws are there for the world to see, mediocre pacers, batsmen and fielders - your only 3 quality players are in the twilight of their careers, but go on, continue to live in denial.

There is nothing to deny.

NZ have trouble closing us out even in NZ.

What do you expect Hobbits will do in UAE?

Defeat us on a spin track with Boult and Southee?

What doesn't look thin is your hatred.
No hatred against Pakistan, just hatred of the ignorance and disrespect of PPers here. I actually liked Pakistan before their fans started hyping their players to the moon, it's no wonder they play with so much pressure on their shoulders.

Every nation has these sort of fans, it doesn't mean you start talking non sense in order to counter them.

Ignorance and disrepsect ever since they told you Hobbits are not good at cricket.

Well that's the truth.

We tend to respect teams that can actually win a test series against us.

You want respect, earn it.

True, Pakistan are in a deep hole, Once Younis, Ajmal and Misbah retire our test team will be on par with Ban. and Zimbabwe :(

Just chill dude, we know we are not a top rank team buuuuuuuuuuuut will always be better than NZ.:yk:)))

We've earned it by winning series, what exactly have Pakistan done to earn anything? Other than remind every other fan of the world about a series you won some 3 years ago?

Yaar itnay buray halaat nai hein... I am sure Haris , Umar and Sami Aslam will be some sort of fresh air.

Plus , every team greats retire. Even Australia had greats retire, but they keep churning out batsmen who can at least handle themselves.

So don't worry, we will never be like Bangladesh or Zimbabwe.

Although we still lose against Zimbabwe sometimes :P

Only good thing Pakistan done this session is the use DRS. First from Khurram Manzoor (Thank God, he didn't reviewed the dismissal) and then Younis Khan :)))

I mean to say it clearly.

If you win a series against Pakistan, people will take you seriously.

If you lose again, well you know.. all your bubble will go down again, and you will have to run.

Why make tall predictions about how you will beat us?

It would be better for you to watch quietly beat us, and then do chest thumping.

You are doing thumping even before, you have played us.

Beat SA in ODI series at their home, the first subcontinent nation to, beat SA the world number 1 team in a test at UAE and didn't let them win at UAE.

True some results were awful, like losing to Zimbabwe.

But a team that can take a test off World number 1 South Africa in UAE will lose to Hobbits in UAE who are ranked 7 in test rankings?

I think you are confused.

Look at the team you beat 3 years ago before getting ahead of yourself. A broken down Bond ran through your lot the year before, you were fortunate to walk away with a drawn series after we lost him for the 2nd and 3rd Test.

We havent produced a decent test batsman after Younus, Misbah who are actually product of early 2000s after that our batting factory looks completely dried up

In essence, if you lose some of your pacers before the series again to injury, you will be complaining again about Boult or Southee not playing.

Maybe we should complain about lack of Amir and Asif not playing who would have decimated most batting line ups.

And you bring up two cheats :)))

How desperate can you get, they sold your country down the river mate.

One doesn't seem to regret it either.

Why does he need to hit sixes in Test matches??

This shows your hate, he is merely mentioning absence of players is not an acceptable excuse for a loss..

Unless Misbah or YK scores a big 100 we may just end up folding for less than 250 if we are lucky, also with an out of form asad at number 6 things arent looking to clever. Its a shame fawad alam and Umar Akmal are not in side currently. We have started another test match in SL once again in poor fashion!

The good thing about having an aggressive/quality middle order batsmen is he can counter attack and put the opposition under pressure.

Who can do that for Pakistan in this side?

Ah the Hobbitses, trying so hard to be relevant.

Tough session for Pak, relying on the usual suspects again.

I think you missed the analogy.

Loss of players , due to what reason so ever.

The point is loss of players is not a good enough excuse, unless you accept that without your best players you are not good enough to beat us.

Sure, Pakistan are no longer world class bowling attack in tests, once we lost the cheats.

We accept that, well most of us do.

Then you should probably accept that if you take out some of your best pacers, you probably won't beat us either.

Which means that both teams are at par level.

But since the series is in UAE, where our spinners tend to be lions, we have better chances of winning on a Spin Safari.

Now if you have any counter arguments to why Hobbits should win in a match of both par teams, in which one of them is playing at their favorite home surface with a clear advantage , I'd be willing to hear it?

Umar should have played ahead of Asad, he is perfect for that sort of role

You can sugar coat it however you like, at the end of the day, both of them sold your country down the river. In Amirs case you can forgive him because of his age, Asif however? Not so much, he doesn't seem to regret it either, nor do I think Pakistan will ever play him again.

Why do you expect them to counter attack, We all know team is full of grinders, noone is really an aggressive player

I don't expect them to. It would be refreshing to have them take that approach and utilize modern cricket tactics.
