Sanga is perfect Pakistan basher and really feasted on our bowlers.

Abdul Rehman should be replaced by a young spinner as he is no value to this team
 
Replace Rehman with Zulfiqur Babar and see how he goes.

He has an average of 20 in FC and he's not even playing :bhatti
 
Ajmal is too stubborn with the idea of bowling around the wicket without changing anything no wonder sanga loves playing him

If Lankans make 600 we could collapse and lose if this pitch starts turning on Day 4 and 5
 
A very boring Test match I've ever seen, never enjoyed watching cricket being played in SL, one of the worst cricketing nations to host games due to weather
 
Lol. This is all steyns fault. Dismissed sanga for a duck in his previous innings. He's taking it out on Pakistani bowlers now :)) .

We had one of the worlds best bowling attack until Amir and Asif. Our selectors still do not understand that Rehman is finished so as Ajmal. Ajmal has been struggling last few series. Why persist with Manzoor and shehzad for test. Don't we have any talent to find decent opening batsmen or are lack of resource less than Bangladesh ?
 
Really, test cricket should never be played in SL if they serve up this type of tracks...
 
Apparently, it's pelting down now in Galle. Looks like we'll have an interruption of one hour.
 
If we have coaches for every department why not new players and train them. Mushi can not teach Rehman or Ajmal.
 
The pitch is quite similar to the Ind vs Aus series where Rohit scored 200. Simply put, this is a graveyard for bowlers, nothing else. This Galle pitch is literally flat as a woman with AA breast size, pure motorway
 
New ball is PAkistans last hope if we dont make inroads with it, SL will make 600 for sure
 
both ajmal and rehman have been poor, i saw herath bowl and he bowled pretty decently and bowled some rippers that beat the batsmen.
 
No pitch excuses shud come up. Our fast bowlers cant swing the new ball. Thats y i wanted Rahat in the starting line up. He can be very handy with new ball and may be he could have started taking wickets. But lets hope still that Junaid and Talha make in roads.
 
Rain is saving Pakistan here tbh, SL could have carried on with the job and taken a decent lead to put pressure on Pakistan for the third innings and we all know how Pakistan go under pressure.
 
Ajmals time is probably over.. and sad thing is we dont have any good replacement. Ideally a good leg break bowler would be perfect but there is no promising leg break bowler in the domestic circuit.



Fast bowling talent is also scarce.. talha and junaid are an indication of decline of fast bowling in pakistan.

Fast bowlers atleast picked up a wicket each and Junaid has troubled both Sanga and JAya, Spinners havent done anything at all

Pitch really wasnt that flat on day 1, In 1st session ball did seam and swing around a bit and Herath got the ball to turn and produced some wonderful deliveries

He wont get many bowling friendly pitches around.. bowling at 130 kph with little or no movement when you boost yourself to be one of the fastest in pakistan is :facepalm: worthy.

YK scored most of his runs once it flattened up, and it's not like he didn't offer up chances.
 
A pitch this flat should never be allowed host test matches.

It completely kills the game before it even has a chance to excite fans.

This isnt the first time Galle has produced a high scoring borefest either
 
Said it yesterday that our current pacers (Junaid is over-rated by PPers, Talha is ordinary) are just not penetrative enough although their ineffectiveness may have largely to do with the flatness of the pitch

Everyone gets their share of chances, Even sanga got away with a review, Younus was in early on day 1 when Pakistan were in trouble and pitch was helping bowlers, he survived the tough period and Played really well against Herath when he was getting spin, see deliveries bowled to Azhar and Misbah..

Younus's innings was a good one 150+ on any sort of pitch requires a lot of doing ...

We've had our moments, such as winning 2 tests in England during that infamous tour, beating you guys yet again, reaching the semis of the WC, beating the no 1 test side at the time in 2012 3-0 and winning a test against SA, but also some very low ebbs.

However, it would've been infinitely better if those two were playing, especially in Africa, where we've really struggled.

Lol! Doesn't take a wicket in one innings which btw still is far from over and you start saying his time is over. This pitch is a graveyard for bowlers and it should be the batsmen who should be judged or blamed for not scoring runs on such a wicket and not the bowlers.
 
This game is definitely going for a draw, SSC will be 90% draw. Another boring 0-0 series
 
Pakistani bowlers would pride themselves on doing better compared to other teams on such flat decks. Flat pitch or not, the lack of penetration and threat in the attack is inexcusable. You have to be learn to adapt everywhere. Steyn and Morkel demolished Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka in conditions outside their comfort zones.

Pitch had some life early, is good for batting days 2 and 3, will turn later. Assuming it turns, decent subcontinental track IMO
