I think this is a good debate actually, and will shape our team in the future. I do not think anybody believes in Sharjeel, and most do not with Hafeez at #3.

As one of the "pro-Umar" camps, I completely agree. The shot today, absolutely MORONIC. No justification for it, cannot be defended at all.

But for a 24 year old, is that "un-fixable"? Maybe, I cannot say for sure. But if I am selecting the team, he gets more chances for me. Umar Akmal plays all the way until the end of the next world cup. And I try to bat him in the top 4 in almost any chance I get.

Yh every 'youngster' that comes in has batted above Umar, it's about time he gets a chance up the order but only for 2 matches

Agreed, i think this is easier to fix and he will fix it In'Sha'Allah, ideally he should be given a run at 3 till the World Cup, but doubt it, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Unlike you, I already posted at the start, I would not have played Sharjeel. I would have personally played Anwar Ali. He is a good batsman unlike Junaid who cannot bat at all, and Anwar has good movement.

Junaid needs a few days on the bench until he learns to bowl at the death.

lol i didnt talk about the combination of the team. i said i would not have batted first seeing that green tinge on the pitch and cloud cover. i am sure these professionals can read the pitch better than me. but batting first on this pitch knowing how great your batting is is committing suicide.

His stats are pretty good very good compared to our other batsmen even when batting out of his batting position and you can just tell he has the most potential and i see him doing even better than our other batsmen
