oh no a wicket fell. Pathan would have gone for 80+ too to join the elite panel. he is on 79 with one ball to make it
 
It's a fighting total. Game on! Had it not been for the runouts though, they would've had 320 probably.

Sri Lanka has gone in with quite a few pacers for this game. I guess they are trying to exploit India's weakness.
 
SL scoring what india scored against pak last night. This should nto be too hard for the indians. SL bowlers will have to bowl really well here.
 
Lathargic bowling display..our bowlers are really clueless in subcontinental condition.But its upto the batsman now.Hope they have enough left in the tank.We deserve to go through if we beat Lanka.
 
Pakistan chased 308 yesterday in 45+ over and now Srilanka scored 308 ,Will India chase it or choke, My bet is on India choking today ,Inshallah.
 
Should be a good game. India got good batting, but there will be huge pressure on them, cuz it's a do or die situation for them.
 
Target is too easy for Indian. If they lose, they'll should blame only themselves. A score of 300 has been chased TWICE in this tournament. Once by India and other by Pak. So, they should be able to do it and I think, they will.

SL got good bowlers. Murali's 10 overs will be crucial. Plus it's a must win game for India. Pressure will be on them.

Yes but has anybody chased targets of 300 with back-to-back games? It must take it's toll on the body...

Yes The Murali's 10 overs will decide the mach ,he is a magician and he will span his web to take SL to victory and giving pakistan a chance to be in the finals.

I think Dilhara's 10 overs will be crucial. He's the only genuine pace bowler in the team, and may be able to pose the Indians with some problems.

Chase or choke is the big question. India can do it with their batting but in this tournament if one team can defend it it is Sri Lanka (even without Mendis).
Let's pray for a grand historical choke!

not the bowlers so much as fielders. at least 3 catches not taken, one easy runout messed up, and couple of boundaries that should have been only 1-2

They are professionals. They are work out. They are supposed to be IN shape to handle this kind of stuff. They are not 14 year old ballerinas who can't dance with a broken toe nail!

Schedule was published well in advance and if BCCI had problems with it, they would have objected to it. Here is BCCI's reply to Dhoni's whines;

Plus.... if Pakistan had WON its game in 1st round (vs India), then THEY would be playing these back-to-back games because schedule was set without knowing who will be #1 or #2 in their respective groups.
 
i expect india to get this easily...lanka dont have any bowlers...only murali and as of late he has been poor...
 
India have got a stiff task of chasing 309, they've got the batting to chase a score like this down but Sri Lanka has got the bowling to defend it. India will be glad that they don't have to face the likes of Mendis, Vass and Malinga.

COME ON INDIA!!!

Man, Shukla (BCCI) has really taken Dhoni to task. I doubt if he will ever complain of tight schedules. :)))

INDIA will win if they don't get bowled out.

if these two start well it will be easy pickings for the indians...our pathetic performance against the lankans will cost us!!

Even if you dont take that into account, SL wont burn any extra energy to win this, I wouldn't if I were them.

Nor would I. I dont expect SL to over-exert themselves in the field or with the ball.

Had they got 340 runs - might have been different, 310 is no prob on this track
