erm no not really, his strike rate of around 65 is perfectly fine when chasing 244, assuming he makes a decent amount of runs, which he has. his current score of 78 from 122 is A LOT better than anyone else has managed, minus shafiq and Misbah.

Well said. Especially the bolded part. The whole plan to rely on the big hitters at the end was flawed from the start. More so when the hitters are Afridi and Umar. Afridi who's always been more of a miss than a hit, and Umar who's been out of touch lately.
